I had been planning for this for awhile. Well it was actually set aside for a new gun or armor but decided with all this armor would be more prudent because I already have some guns.

This also wasn't from my emergency fund, I love pew pew toys but that is a break in case of emergency.

2021-01-07 00:44:53 UTC

I really need to start earning money

2021-01-07 00:45:10 UTC

The Samsung S10 will prob have to wait :/

2021-01-07 00:46:43 UTC

I'm in college on a TA stipond but I invested in crypto years ago, mined bitcoin when it was profitable, and I invested stegigically in the stock market a few years ago and also dumped more in with the COVID crash that has now rebound with large profits.

2021-01-07 00:48:16 UTC

I think my bro tried mining b coin a while back on my pc (it was the fastest in our house at the time). Didn't get much though I don't think

2021-01-07 00:48:21 UTC

Idr really

2021-01-07 00:48:41 UTC

Also though I need to find who would sell me a gun

2021-01-07 00:49:13 UTC

Bitcoin is over $32k right now so not much can be a lto of money

2021-01-07 00:49:52 UTC

Yeah. I'm assuming whatever was made was sold in a small spike, without much profit

2021-01-07 00:50:07 UTC

My dad pays attention to the stuff; I don't really though

2021-01-07 00:50:42 UTC

All the worry about a Biden presidency and lockdowns is most likely what is driving this massive spike

2021-01-07 00:51:17 UTC

Say, can an adult take money from a minor to buy a gun, as long as the adult keeps the gun as his own?

2021-01-07 00:52:28 UTC

Like

2021-01-07 00:52:33 UTC

You too, that's what I did after the Military was invested in stock market, some arms company, crypto

2021-01-07 00:52:53 UTC

Could I give my money to my dad so he can get a gun for himself

2021-01-07 00:53:27 UTC

Sorry it took so long to respond, but I believe CT does

2021-01-07 00:53:43 UTC

You also need that yes

2021-01-07 00:53:44 UTC

That's really up to yur family Dynamics

2021-01-07 00:54:40 UTC

That would be a straw purchase I believe/

2021-01-07 00:55:04 UTC

I think that's dumb lol

2021-01-07 00:58:22 UTC

honestly, baseball bats arent a bad option for home defense, but it helps to have a plan in place so everyone in the fam can respond to the threat in case you go down. Simple thing my family established a long time ago, was that if there was ever an intruder to yell "Dad, get your gun!!," even if he wasnt home, because everyone in our family knew it meant there was an intruder or somekind. Not to mention, if you yell something like that, it will likely scare the shit out of someone. Another thing you might try is a non-functioning shotgun. Obviously, its not ideal, but I have some friends who have an old broken shotgun. Because it can not be repaired, its 100% legal for almost anyone to own, but just check your local laws in case. They actually used it to scare of an intruder one night, because it looked real enough. If shits gets roudy, you can use it as a club. I'd stay away from knives for a variety of reasons, but if its all u got, those are better than nothing too.

2021-01-07 00:59:21 UTC

just my 2c.

2021-01-07 00:59:25 UTC

im no expert

2021-01-07 00:59:30 UTC

If you don't give him money he can gift you it by private transfer legally but when you give him money it's a straw purchase because you are otherwise not legal. That's my understanding of the law.

2021-01-07 00:59:57 UTC

That’s what I do with my dad

2021-01-07 01:00:28 UTC

It’s in his name but he knows it’s my gun

2021-01-07 01:00:36 UTC

@sixfivebyfiftyfive Thanks for your 2c lol

2021-01-07 01:00:44 UTC

Transfer it to me when I get old enough

2021-01-07 01:00:53 UTC

I guess if you just gift him the money and he buys the gun it's legal. He can then just let you use the gun.

2021-01-07 01:00:57 UTC

I believe it depends on ur state, but dont take my word for it. The thing is though, is that you couldnt pay for it untill you turned 18, legally speaking, in most places, as far as a ik. :/

2021-01-07 01:03:11 UTC

ye, thats kinda what I had going on up until I turned 18, cept my rifle was a gift. I was going to pay for it, but my Papa had the same model that I wanted and he didnt ever use it.

2021-01-07 01:03:57 UTC
