Once I get the armor I may decide to add some light plates to side but not having had my own armor before I'm not sure how maneuverable I'll be with 11.7 lbs of armor plus the weight of the vest.

Particularly when I'm not exactly in the best shape.

2021-01-08 04:07:04 UTC

That's why I suggested light exercise with their PC or SBA

2021-01-08 04:07:31 UTC

What is SBA?

2021-01-08 04:07:49 UTC

Soft Body Armor

2021-01-08 04:09:03 UTC

Push ups, Stretches that sort of thing

2021-01-08 04:09:28 UTC

Maybe squats

2021-01-08 04:10:35 UTC

Yeah, I invested in hard level 4 because if I need armor, I'll want the most armor I can have. Soft usually only protects you from pistols and has a fianite shelf life while ceramic is mostly indefinite from what I understand now day.

I plan to work out in my apartment with my armor when I eventully get it. Won't go to the gym with it thou because the only gym I have is the one on campus and don't want to freak people out walking in with a full deaked out body armor.

Anyone know if I can buy a gun (ar hopefully) from a gun show? I can buy one at 18 from gun stores, but I can legally buy one under 18 if it's not an authorized retailer. So where would a gun show fall?

2021-01-08 04:13:48 UTC

I dont remember ever seeing anything online about it

2021-01-08 04:14:15 UTC

I live in SD if it helps

2021-01-08 04:14:18 UTC

The state

2021-01-08 04:16:12 UTC

Gun shows are ually authorized dealers now days. The only non is individuals walking around selling. Be warned thou, I had a friend go to a gun show recently and said everything is beyond overpriced there, particularly AR parts. One guy was selling a non coated 16 inch barrel for $400

2021-01-08 04:16:14 UTC

Yeah, sense your in SD all the people selling is basically a dealer and can run Background checks. If your unsure ask them about the buying process

2021-01-08 04:16:30 UTC

David was quicker lol

2021-01-08 04:16:45 UTC

XD

2021-01-08 04:16:49 UTC

Ok thanks

2021-01-08 04:17:11 UTC

So I'll have to find a private seller then 😐

2021-01-08 04:17:55 UTC

Also you don't suppose there's any hope of buying an ar for $400 do you? Hopefully something bigger than .22

2021-01-08 04:18:09 UTC

Not saying you won't find a unicorn but Good Luck with that

2021-01-08 04:18:20 UTC

Nah not for 400

2021-01-08 04:18:23 UTC

Particularly not from a gun show

2021-01-08 04:18:32 UTC

Yeah..... 😭 😭

2021-01-08 04:19:03 UTC

2021-01-08 04:19:35 UTC

Is there hope of finding even a .22 for $400 or less?

2021-01-08 04:19:42 UTC

Depends

2021-01-08 04:19:44 UTC

Nice

2021-01-08 04:19:54 UTC

Thx

2021-01-08 04:20:04 UTC

But ARs can get really pricey

2021-01-08 04:20:19 UTC

😭

2021-01-08 04:20:19 UTC

Not really, its expensive rn at gunshows

2021-01-08 04:20:27 UTC

If you got the extra cash for it then it would be a good idea

2021-01-08 04:20:35 UTC

If you want to lower budget stick to like a 9 mm

2021-01-08 04:20:43 UTC

I recommend the Rex zero 1s

2021-01-08 04:20:58 UTC

It has little to no recoil and is reallt easy to handle

2021-01-08 04:21:01 UTC

Its a good gun

2021-01-08 04:21:22 UTC

Even 9mm are $$$

2021-01-08 04:21:27 UTC

Yeah

2021-01-08 04:21:27 UTC

Yeah my bro has one. I'm sure he ain't wanting to part with it though haha

2021-01-08 04:21:40 UTC

You may also be able to find 22 pistols. Ammo is easier to find and a lot cheaper then 9mm right now.
