Sigh I hate twitter. I need some advice on where to promote D&D content, but it feels like the dnd community is just super fucking woke. Everyones always going on about 'racial issues' and 'gender equality' in a stupid fictional game. Where can a moderate or conservative dnd creator even go these days?

I swear if I hear one more person go on about how "Drow are black people" I'll lose my fucking mind.

Have you tried Roll20?

Isn't that just for like tokens and maps?

meh, people read way too much into it. DMs can decide whatever they want in their campaign, don't need wizards of the coast to be the morality police.

They also allow players to connect with others for a variety of tabletops online, or to find others for games.

I mean im familiar with it game wise.

its just really sad how dumb bullshit like this is being pushed so hard it ruins the fun and enjoyment of the game for a lot of people... I doubt that some of these "woke" people even truly enjoy some dumbass changes at times either.

I haven't had anything to do with DnD for a decade, back when 4th was the thing.

Yeah i've only been DMing for about 5 years, but i can't imagine anyone in DnD ever being actually racist toward Orcs. Its silly.

I've even written a campaign with no humans and the one human player was treated like a diease.

I've been DMing for about 25 years or so. I got so frustrated by other gaming systems that I actually created my own.

I find 5e simple enough to get new players involved, but I do miss some older mechanics from older editions.

I just hate how wizards bends the knee to players who likely don't buy their products or barely play the game

I'm about 120 miles from any offline source of gaming materials, so that keeps me out of the loop.

It's a d20-only system that can be used to play any genre or combination of genres including fantasy, superheroes, sci-fi, or modern combat.

I planned on publishing it, but I couldn't get any r/t local playtesters for the included module.

I don't have anymore groups. My last gaming group all went REEEEEEEEEEE over the hill the night Trump was elected.

I'm going to give it away; I'd rather it be out there being enjoyed than rotting in a save file.

@DishonoredRonin Reminds me of a system, I think called "Roll to Move", that only uses a d6. The comical aspect is that doing literally *anything* requires rolling the d6.

Mine's not that bad. LOL

You might say, "I walk to the store." And the DM tells you to roll the d6, and you roll a 1, so you trip on your way to the store.

No nat 1's in mine. LOL Also no nat 20's.

"Roll for Shoes" is another comically simple system. Everyone starts with the ability "Do anything 1", and if you get a particularly good dice role while doing something, you gain a new skill related to what you did.
