Finally got it!

Been playing cp2077 and since I'm used to unstable software (I DID run WoW on a Linux box) using the cloud feature to back up the single manual save I make (not the quick saves) will allow for the recovery of "corrupt" save data profiles.

Redundant save files (cloud storage) prevent complete loss of game save file

Honestly I think there's a great game to be found under the bugs and stability issues (console)
