But then Satan tricked Adam and Eve

2020-11-08 00:07:04 UTC

Any Jesus lovers here?! 🙌🏽

2020-11-08 00:07:33 UTC

I mean I believe Jesus was and is an amazing person who definitely did a lot of good

2020-11-08 00:08:06 UTC

@Draconem_Dominus do you accept that He is your Lord and saviour?

2020-11-08 00:08:11 UTC

So in a way I love him yes

2020-11-08 00:08:25 UTC

In a way, yes.

2020-11-08 00:08:51 UTC

The Bible says even the demons believe in Jesus, the difference is if you believe he came and died for your sins.

2020-11-08 00:09:30 UTC

Y'all should make sure your faith in Jesus is secured cuz it seems like the rapture can happen soon

2020-11-08 00:09:32 UTC

Either this man was, and is, the Son of God, or else a madman or something worse. - CS Lewis

About Jesus

2020-11-08 00:10:10 UTC

I accept that he was and is the standard we should live up to, though not one we can realistically achieve, and that he saved a whole lot of people with his life and death, and I believe he did die for the people of his time’s sins, but I’m not sure about the whole son of god thing

2020-11-08 00:10:27 UTC

I admit that we don't have all the answers, and being gay is something that is hotly debated.
God intended man to be with woman, I don't know what the exact cause of homosexuality was, but I suspect it was similar to how man corrupted in many ways. People used to live to around 900, and as you read the Old Testament, you can see their life spans going down.

2020-11-08 00:10:46 UTC

The Pope said it was okay

2020-11-08 00:10:47 UTC

Nor that he died for the sins of those in the future, for how could he have foreseen this

2020-11-08 00:10:48 UTC

so

2020-11-08 00:11:19 UTC

He couldn't have died for your sins if he wasn't the Son of God. He couldn't have done any of the things that he did if he wasn't the Son of God.

2020-11-08 00:11:20 UTC

That part comes down to the fact we believe Jesus was fully God and fully man.

2020-11-08 00:11:23 UTC

Pope is catholic I thought

2020-11-08 00:11:29 UTC

It is

2020-11-08 00:12:09 UTC

Yes, it's not important for this but Catholics beliefs differ from Protestants own many things.

2020-11-08 00:12:42 UTC

Yes, we do differ.

2020-11-08 00:12:42 UTC

I suppose then that I do believe in Jesus and his sacrifice, it’s just god and some Christians themselves I have issues with

2020-11-08 00:13:14 UTC

I can see now that what I saw as Christianity was only one side of it though

2020-11-08 00:13:27 UTC

The worse side unfortunately

2020-11-08 00:13:29 UTC

God created everything, including time, space, and matter. To do so, He would need to exist outside of time, space, and matter.
The first words in the Bible: "In the begging God created the heavens and the earth. "
"In the beginning" is time, "heaven" that's space, and "earth" is matter

2020-11-08 00:13:47 UTC

Most Christians are loving and accepting no matter what.

2020-11-08 00:14:19 UTC

Remember, Christians are still humans. We are not perfect and are not always the best ambassadors for Christ. This is why we need Jesus.

2020-11-08 00:14:53 UTC

That’s true

2020-11-08 00:15:07 UTC

That's also why we need to take our own time to read the Bible and learn about him. And go to others when we have questions

2020-11-08 00:17:03 UTC

So if Jesus is the Son of God, He would also be like this, and know the future.
As for the claim that Jesus is the Son of God, He did several miracles to prove this. His Apostles believed Him to the extent that all but one of them died for refusing to say otherwise. And the last was exiled on an island

2020-11-08 00:17:22 UTC

That’s also true

2020-11-08 00:19:29 UTC

They had nothing to gain from lying. So they must've believed Him.
They witnessed many of the miracles Jesus did, such as Jesus Himself coming to see them after He had died, through a locked door, with the nail holes still in Him

2020-11-08 00:19:46 UTC

I guess I can explain my stance on religion a little. I believe that there is a higher power, and that every religion basically has a personification of the universe as an eternal being and omniscient presence, and that all religions are right and wrong in their own ways but reflect the same thing no matter who they worshipped, that thing being the universe. I think some religions took it a step further because they needed more structure and security in their existence, and that’s fine, but I think all people need to find their own path of worship, as all worship goes to the same being and thus all worship is acceptable and good

2020-11-08 00:20:38 UTC

I have 2 responses to that

2020-11-08 00:21:00 UTC

If you compare religions, many of them have plenty of similarities as well as differences that can be explained by location and time period it was developed during, but that they all lead to the same place in the end

2020-11-08 00:21:50 UTC

One, Christianity is the only one that your works don't matter whatsoever to your salvation. We are saved by grace through faith. As in, by the grace of God through faith in Jesus Christ

2020-11-08 00:23:23 UTC

Trying to do works to get into Heaven (as with all the others) would be as if you robbed a bank, shot the guard, but gave all the money with some of your own to the needy. The judge will still judge you on your crimes

2020-11-08 00:23:36 UTC

Now, that isn't to say what we do with our lives don't matter. Because it very much does.

2020-11-08 00:23:48 UTC

Yes

2020-11-08 00:24:00 UTC

But our works come after our salvation

2020-11-08 00:24:13 UTC

We do good because we are saved, not to get saved
