Time is merely an illusion to us Humans.

We will see it as something insignificant compared to what we will receive. Paul contemplated something similar. The sufferings and pains in this current age will be an insignificant experience compared to what we will receive in the coming age.

Right now we are tempted to think it's crazy because we are so used to the experiences we have now. It creates a sort of bias in us about this age. But what we will receive is a life so much better, more fulfilling and more honoring that our pains and problems today will just wither away in a flash.

Hell, properly understood, is a place of unquenchable shame and disgrace. People there will have lives worst than those who live on the lam and ghettos. Running away from God but can't because they know He is omnipresent, but they won't feel His immediate glorious providence like believers will because God has given them what they wanted: separation from God.
