also,
The devil always causes evil and harm
The serpent of Eden was most likely the devil.
and it comes back in revelation
I see parallels between the Creation story and real life. As children, we have no concept of financial responsibility or real world issues that we need burden ourselves with. As adults, we are plagued with the sacrificing of much of our laboring simply to survive. The upside of being adults? We know more. The downside? We're burdened with it.
im paraphrasing but Solomon said the downside of gaining knowledge was gaining grief also
For with much wisdom comes much sorrow;
the more knowledge, the more grief. Ecclesiastes 1:18 NIV
Something I agree with completely. Gone are the days where I need not burden myself, and simply play and delight in living. No concern to be had.
I wrote a Word document and exported it as a PDF on that very issue, and I sent it to James Patrick Holding for review and he thought it was great and excellent.
And I declared that the dead,
who had already died,
are happier than the living,
who are still alive.
But better than both
is the one who has never been born,
who has not seen the evil
that is done under the sun. Ecclesiastes 4:2-3 these verses really made me think when i read them today
If I were offered, at the moment of my birth, whether I would stay in heaven or go down to Earth, knowing what I knew now, knowing of all hateful things I would see in the world, all the hate that would fill me, consume me, and all the anguish and heartache I would feel even with less than a quarter of a century on this Earth? I would still say send me. If there is but one good thing I can do to make this world a better place, send me and send me NOW. Christ wept at the grave of Lazarus. He was betrayed by a friend. John the Baptist, Peter, and Paul, and untold others died horrible deaths for God. They knew what would happen if they kept the faith. If they can go through that, I say "Why not I"?
Amen, God could have just never sent His son to die, but He loved us so so so much to give His only son for us. Us who are just but dirty rags compared to his Righteousness
All the love he has for us is not out of us deserving it. I struggled with this for a long time. "I must have some worthiness of being loved. It can't be I was created to be loved. That puts it in God's court. I must some inborn brightness that doesn't come from God." He created us to be loved. It's biologically inclined (like loving ones children or ones lover), it simply *is*.
It's *not* biologically inclined.
id hate to see the day when Christianity is completely persecuted out
anyway gn yall ill pray for you guys just leave some requests
We are created in His image. Pretty sure that He has some attachment to human compared to other creatures in this world.
Christianity is inevitable because it's true. 🙂 Good night.
Remember this if we deny jesus he'll deny us to the father
This video is amazing and its message is powerful. I thought that some people on here might like it https://youtu.be/t2d6l02H9vI
Alot of people ask why God lets bad things happen. 'What did I do to deserve this?' God uses our struggles to display his glory.
John 9:2-5 NIV
"His disciples asked him, “Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?” “Neither this man nor his parents sinned,” said Jesus, “but this happened so that the works of God might be displayed in him. As long as it is day, we must do the works of him who sent me. Night is coming, when no one can work. While I am in the world, I am the light of the world.”
John 9:6-7
After saying this, he spit on the ground, made some mud with the saliva, and put it on the man’s eyes. “Go,” he told him, “wash in the Pool of Siloam” (this word means “Sent”). So the man went and washed, and came home seeing.
Folks, God has a plan for your life
Liked those verses especially the first one @grace
we can share verse! damn
Because people do try to blame sins for the past generations
Or problems
When instead they can take initiative to fix the problems at hand
@thangoosesbeats I've been sending them for awhile lol so I think we can
aaahh
wait lemme share my current fav one

Matt. 5 Verses 11 to 12
[11] Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. [12] Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.
and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. This part is what i like man....
Mhm its a nice verse
evil exist because there is good... good exist because there is evil.... truth exists because there is lies... we get to know the value of good and peace because of evil.... if God only created good then we wouldnt know the value of being good or have peace....
@thangoosesbeats God never wanted us to sin though that was a choice adam and eve made against him. before that everything in creation was good
its the consequence of having knowledge of both good and evil
we used to be innocent
@thangoosesbeats Evil does not exist as a thing of itself like goodness can. Evil is by nature a parasitic value against the natural good state of the world. So while evil exists because of good, good exists on its own and can survive without evil.
