Ok. So I believe in a communion of saints in heaven. Just as we are uplifted and strengthened but a faithful community on earth, I believe the same is true in heaven. The saints act as vehicles to help understand god and his will, not as objects of worship. I don’t believe that praying to saints is blasphemous or in contrary to the commandment to not put false gods before my lord because I do not think the saints are gods. Just as I would ask a friend to pray for me, pray for a sick family member, or pray for an end to abortion, I ask the saints to intercede for me. Though they were not perfect on earth, they are made perfect in their ascension to heaven- nothing impure enters heaven, which is why I believe in purgatory- an opportunity for purification and redemption before entering heaven. Questions?

Why have purgatory when you have an entire life to get saved?

Well you can't pary after death, saints have no power at all they are just like me and you

There no such thing there is even a verse that says you can't pray after death so saints can't ethier they are human not superior humans they are regular humans

Because humans are imperfect. There is impurity that seeps into even the most perfect lives. I believe that god is ever merciful. Purgatory is a place where those who have been unable to go to confession or do penance for all their sins can be purified and forgiven before entering into heaven. I believe it is honestly a sign of justice. God forgives humans- those on deaths row and those with near perfect lives. If they truly seek the kingdom of heaven, I believe it is more just that they are in purgatory and do penance as god sees fit before entering the kingdoms heaven.

A saint is a human who has entered heaven, whether we know it or not. There are some humans we believe have entered into heaven because of how they lived their lives, like Mary

Penance is basically your payment for your sins. When I go to confession or reconciliation, I follow up with penance like extra service, extra prayer, etc so that I may be truly saved from my sinful nature

You can't pay for sins

you canrt pray your way into being good.. you cant do extra work like that

the best thing is trying your best to follow his laws and that includes "jesus's" teachings

we cannot reconcile, we repent and turn around meaning, stop doing it and stay on the right path

By having faith that he forgive all your sins. Because even though some sins seems bigger than others hey are the same amount to God.

You ask God yourself. He forgives you. Nobody can repent for you.

I believe that true repentance includes deepened prayer, the sacrament or reconciliation, and promising to move forward on a better path and following through. But if there is no way to reconcile on earth and no purgatory, truly how are we imperfect humans to make it to heaven
