I also disagree with your second statement. I pray for those in purgatory often

God has justice, and some do go to hell, but those with faith in death have a chance to be saved, even though they may not have had the chance to be washed of sin before death. Purgatory is that opportunity for those who wish to be saved who have sinned greatly

You have to have faith before you die

It’s got to be more like loving Jesus rather than checking boxes off

It is loving God and repenting. But if you repent after being a serial killer versus repenting after being a mom who yelled at her kids, purgatory is a chance for us to be cleansed of those sins as God sees fit before bestowing his mercy

After you die God judge you so there is no purgatory to atone for your sins.

So it’s not about atonement as much as purification. God saves you, but you must be purified before entering heaven. That happens in purgatory

But between your baptism and your death you are umpire because of sin

God's grace is forgiveness why then did he send his son to earth you're basically saying Jesus didn't forgive all your sins
