He made her to be the mother of his only begotten son

2020-12-19 02:36:44 UTC

You would still have Jesus without Mary. God could have chosen anyone. But he chose Mary. The person who gives birth to Jesus does not matter.

2020-12-19 02:37:00 UTC

was mary without sin froshe?

2020-12-19 02:37:07 UTC

No

2020-12-19 02:37:14 UTC

Jesus is Jesus no matter who his earthly mother is

2020-12-19 02:37:18 UTC

thats anothoer catolic teaching

2020-12-19 02:37:24 UTC

Jesus was the only human to ever be without sin

2020-12-19 02:37:54 UTC

No but it’s the father who passes down sin the father was the Holy Spirit for Mary

2020-12-19 02:37:55 UTC

I think you are misconstruing the Catholic Church a bit.

2020-12-19 02:38:28 UTC

she never sinned

2020-12-19 02:38:42 UTC

im an ex catholic too

2020-12-19 02:39:01 UTC

That’s true lol

2020-12-19 02:39:27 UTC

Dude read the article it says she was saved like the rest of us

2020-12-19 02:39:28 UTC

I thought it said Mary was conceived without sin lol

2020-12-19 02:39:49 UTC

For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Romans 6:23

2020-12-19 02:40:22 UTC

no it says she was saved from sinning

2020-12-19 02:40:26 UTC

and she never sinned

2020-12-19 02:41:34 UTC

Okay I’m reading in more detail give me a minute

2020-12-19 02:41:38 UTC

"jesus" was born and lived a sinless life-- not mary.. giving credit to mary for not sinning and placing her as mother of god. .is ridiculous

2020-12-19 02:41:49 UTC

no prob

2020-12-19 02:41:51 UTC

i gtg anyways

2020-12-19 02:42:03 UTC

2020-12-19 02:42:12 UTC

How did they know that marry never sinned after?

2020-12-19 02:42:23 UTC

cuz she jsut didnt..ok. church says so

2020-12-19 02:52:38 UTC

“Then he cried and said, ‘Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus that he may dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.’ But Abraham said, ‘Son, remember that in your lifetime you received your good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things; but now he is comforted and you are tormented. And besides all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed, so that those who want to pass from here to you cannot, nor can those from there pass to us.’
Luke 16:24‭-‬26
Proof of no Purgatory

2020-12-19 02:56:36 UTC

Also proof you can't pray for the dead

2020-12-19 02:56:44 UTC

I don’t agree that that is proof of no purgatory

2020-12-19 02:57:16 UTC

I also disagree with your second statement. I pray for those in purgatory often

2020-12-19 02:58:22 UTC

It literally says those who want to pass from here can not

2020-12-19 02:59:14 UTC

God has justice, and some do go to hell, but those with faith in death have a chance to be saved, even though they may not have had the chance to be washed of sin before death. Purgatory is that opportunity for those who wish to be saved who have sinned greatly

2020-12-19 02:59:33 UTC

You have to have faith before you die

2020-12-19 02:59:54 UTC

It’s got to be more like loving Jesus rather than checking boxes off

2020-12-19 03:02:22 UTC

It is loving God and repenting. But if you repent after being a serial killer versus repenting after being a mom who yelled at her kids, purgatory is a chance for us to be cleansed of those sins as God sees fit before bestowing his mercy

2020-12-19 03:03:47 UTC

Ok what did the verse above saying then?

2020-12-19 03:03:54 UTC

So your saying your not completely saved from your sins when you are saved?

2020-12-19 03:04:55 UTC

Once saved, always saved is a wrong teaching

2020-12-19 03:13:33 UTC

Another reason for purgatory does not exist "And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment,"
Hebrews 9:27

2020-12-19 03:14:56 UTC

Help me understand this one

2020-12-19 03:17:39 UTC

After you die God judge you so there is no purgatory to atone for your sins.

2020-12-19 03:19:36 UTC

For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.
Ephesians 2:8‭-‬9
