that's fair, i supposed. again, i don't doubt god's power to squash the rebellions

2020-12-20 07:38:08 UTC

The only reason that the conflicts were there or that a change in language was needed is that they weren’t obeying God to begin with. By staying in that city they were raising the chances of destroying themselves

2020-12-20 07:38:17 UTC

original sin goes: y'all miss me <:KEK:726877368601411624>

2020-12-20 07:38:44 UTC

The glory of God is so great that it would kill a human to even glimpse it

2020-12-20 07:39:23 UTC

No babel was the human version of people trying to be God.

2020-12-20 07:39:47 UTC

Yeah lol I covered that (I hope 😆)

2020-12-20 07:39:50 UTC

oh yeah, i'm not denying that. the bible (and from what the local preacher told me), god created different languages to divvy up humans, "weakened" them so they would give up on the idea of trying to be god (and also stop building those damn towers)

2020-12-20 07:40:14 UTC

Lol the sarcasm at the end kills me

2020-12-20 07:40:25 UTC

Rather the humor

2020-12-20 07:40:28 UTC

My bad lol

2020-12-20 07:40:39 UTC

thank you. not many people likes my sarcasm 😂

2020-12-20 07:40:40 UTC

God literally told humans to spread out and multiple

2020-12-20 07:41:41 UTC

What religion has like 1 billion gods and keep adding for every new thing there is

2020-12-20 07:42:09 UTC

I just want to reiterate. The actual towers were insignificant. God doesn’t want to make us “weaker” either! He wants to make us A LOT stronger. The issue with living in a large group is that conflict sprouts a lot quicker and so does sin. We had to to split up for our own food but we were too blind to see it

2020-12-20 07:42:18 UTC

Exactly

2020-12-20 07:42:30 UTC

which i still don't really get, from god? like, he knows the original sin are in our DNA, right? why would he encourage us to multiple if it meant more sinners?

2020-12-20 07:42:46 UTC

The Woke SJW Cult

2020-12-20 07:42:50 UTC

Traditional Greek polytheism and same with Roman polytheism and Hinduism

2020-12-20 07:43:02 UTC

Ah

2020-12-20 07:43:08 UTC

We begin to agree lol

2020-12-20 07:43:49 UTC

that's a fair interpretation, i think. i'll reread the bible to see it under this lens

2020-12-20 07:44:33 UTC

God is seeking a relationship with mankind. God is sinless and therefore he communion with sinless. Humans are sinful therefore God can't communion with us. But God had a solution which is Jesus. His death allowed us to have a communion with God. Some people just don't want to have a relationship with Him. The best gift you can give God is a relationship with Him.

2020-12-20 07:44:39 UTC

If you want someone to re read the Bible with I’ll try to make time. I’d hop in a vc depending on what time lol

2020-12-20 07:45:36 UTC

i'm listening to the bible audio book someone sent me (i think it's the king james' version? can't remember) but thank you! i'll probably hop back in here when i have some questions again

2020-12-20 07:45:37 UTC

Explain elijah and more people in the old testament

2020-12-20 07:46:17 UTC

Hey I been reading the Bible all year so maybe i can join too

2020-12-20 07:46:26 UTC

Bro please switch to ESV. I’ve been a Christian for a couple years and read the Bible a couple times by now... the KJV is not where it’s at

2020-12-20 07:46:35 UTC

sure. but what if some people thinks they are not worthy of a relationship with him? like, they want it, but they don't think they are capable of his attention

2020-12-20 07:46:42 UTC

Honestly if we find a suitable schedule I don’t see why not

2020-12-20 07:46:57 UTC

No I was just comparing God's vs angel s glory. People tremble when they see an Angel. Now imagine what would happen if they see God. Bible tells us humans will die if they see God(OT)

2020-12-20 07:47:06 UTC

Sorry y'all talk too fast. I'm catching up on all the conversation

2020-12-20 07:47:11 UTC

aren't they all the same? i thought it's just different voice

2020-12-20 07:47:21 UTC

oof sorry bud 😂

2020-12-20 07:47:44 UTC

2020-12-20 07:47:56 UTC

Again man, a lot of Christians feel this way lol. I feel this way at times. What we lowly humans have to understand is that as long as we make the choice to jump GOD will GUARANTEED catch us

2020-12-20 07:48:02 UTC

I think there is a story telling us that a man did and he went blind

2020-12-20 07:48:45 UTC

only if we agree with god, though. god won't be there if you don't agree with him

2020-12-20 07:49:01 UTC

No, lol. KJV is a more “editorialized” version. It was made by one skewed church at the bad commission of a king so that it would be confusing. It’s a pretty bad interpretation if I’m being honest

2020-12-20 07:49:16 UTC

that sounds like the artemis story?

2020-12-20 07:49:34 UTC

If you tell God not to catch you then He won’t catch you. It’s your choice
