The part about asking a man to kill his child was simply a test put forth by God to see if Abraham was loyal to God. Abraham *was* going to sacrifice Isaac but did not because an angel stopped him. Abraham was blessed after that. Also, Satan convinced Eve to sin against God by saying that God said that she can eat any fruit, including the one from the tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil.
I don't think he allowed it because I think the very first sin was Lucifer/Satan defying God because of his pride. Remember, lucifer was an angel before but because of his pride, he wanted all the praise (he was in charge of directing praise to God iirc)
