Like if a society find it moral to kill that this society is going to die
The only societies that remain are those who find killing bad
So you are justifying cannibal socieities--canniabls among themselves say it's not immoral to kill and eat a person...
thats abortion in a nut shell
Right, because morality is relative, it’s a social construct...
How many if those prosper?
There are still cannibal societies today--so it's a weak argument
So, your saying that abortion is moral?
Like tell me one big society that belives in canibalism
“A fetus isn’t a real person!!!1111!!!!!” - probably a progressive liberal
How ? I just say that you dont need God to be moral
And that morals are necessary for a prosperous society
Yes, but you are saying society constructs their morals--a cannibal society constructs their morals--and then you go switching criteria to say are they a big society. That's a different criterium
Hold on, I had a quote...
There are currently many prosperous societies with their own twisted and evil morals
@ELIS314 Yes, prosperity does not equate right morals--you literally argued against that earlier when you were talking about socialism and communism.
> A little philosophy inclineth man's mind to atheism, but depth in philosophy bringeth men's minds about to religion. - Sir Francis Bacon
Well every society if that kind falls , that is why the roman empire fallen
Let me blow your mind here then if it's about longevity
Capitalism is not all that old either necessarily...
Every society falls no matter what. It doesn't matter what their morals are
I am an anarchist
Not a communist
But Judeo-Christian ideals and beliefs go back to the beginning of time.
Well there have been societies before that wich had similar morals but that argument doesn't work because most probably you dont belive there were societies before christianity
Judaism is the oldest religion.
> "The atheists are for the most part impudent and misguided scholars who reason badly who, not being able to understand the Creation, the origin of evil, and other difficulties, have recourse to the hypothesis the eternity of things and of inevitability." - Voltaire
Well take it this way 1) belive isn't about argument, you either belive or not 2) I do not belive in supernatural forces 3) I am not going to try and believe because that would be disrespectful towards people who belive , You cant try beliving you either do or dont and if I "tried" it would be pretend
Duh, I believe there were societies before Christianity--Christianity started with Jesus about 2000 years ago. It is the culmination and fulfillment though of the Old Testament, so it goes back to the beginning of time through that.
@ELIS314 3) -- what's that mean your are not going to try to believe because it would be disrespectful to those that do?
Like that isnt what I mean , like societies were in india and the middle east before the old testament
Not the same ones that are around today
Because I cant try beliving, how is try to belive suppose to work even?
No society has lasted and been the same since before Christ up to now.
Like could you try beliving in santa or would that be pretend?
That is why Jesus says you need to have the faith of a little child. You have hardened yourself too much to where you think it's so hard to do.
Listen, if Santa is actually my parents, and my parents exist, Santa exists.
I see God on the same level I see harry potter
Well, that's wrong.
