Found this in another discord... it made me lol XD

My car’s power steering is leaking and I can’t find where it is. My Mom is thinking about making me get a new car even though I really like the one I have...

2020-08-06 23:48:32 UTC

Since I’m in California all the garages are closed and I can’t get help.

2020-08-06 23:49:14 UTC

Also... Is that car in the picture an S14?

2020-08-07 02:58:31 UTC

I have an 82 f250 that has a decent power steering leak from the pitman arm. I think of it not as a leak, but as a self flushing system. It still works fine, I just need to make sure the fluid stays topped off

> Also... Is that car in the picture an S14?
@Plague Doctor Lawrence think that's an S15 but not sure

2020-08-07 04:50:45 UTC

I’m pretty sure it’s the latter S14 with the facelift. 1999 was the last year the Silvias came to America.

2020-08-07 04:51:37 UTC

The S15 hasn’t come to the states yet and it’s not legal to import.

2020-08-07 04:53:55 UTC

@TheFirelord3 I wouldn’t call mine a self flushing system... It goes from just over filled to extremely low in just a week and that’s without driving.

2020-08-07 18:23:59 UTC

Good thing it came with this book.

Yeah

2020-08-08 05:07:44 UTC

@Plague Doctor Lawrence If you need info, let me know: year make model.

2020-08-08 05:34:34 UTC

It’s a 1987 Acura Integra LS hatchback sedan DOHC.

2020-08-08 05:35:57 UTC

My step grandpa came over and the left side rack gasket and boot are gone.

2020-08-08 05:36:27 UTC

Turning the wheel is like turning on a faucet.

2020-08-08 05:37:06 UTC

So the seal in the rack is toast? Only will do the faucet thing in one direction...

2020-08-08 05:37:26 UTC

Steering fluid splashes down.

2020-08-08 05:38:00 UTC

Yep. Seen that. Seen worse...

2020-08-08 05:38:11 UTC

>20 years fixing broke cars.

2020-08-08 05:39:23 UTC

I know the Integra is based off of the Civic but I can only hope they have enough parts in common to keep finding them...

2020-08-08 05:40:42 UTC

The engine is the “brown top” 1.6 liter twin cam 16 valve.

2020-08-08 05:41:51 UTC

No worries. Integra is popular enough you should be fine for parts.

2020-08-08 05:50:13 UTC

Not the first generation sadly... Most parts I can find are for the 90’s models...

2020-08-08 05:50:49 UTC

And with how old it is my Mom might need me to get a newer car...
