Miata Supra boi

2020-08-28 02:15:44 UTC

If that was a real car, that would be awesome.

2020-08-28 03:41:11 UTC

Letโ€™s just move the conversation here

2020-08-28 03:41:28 UTC

This was when I first brought it home

2020-08-28 03:42:05 UTC

Not roller rockers disappointed lol

2020-08-28 03:42:12 UTC

I suspect that the engine was built back in the 80s

2020-08-28 03:42:36 UTC

So are you making it all original or restomodding it or what

2020-08-28 03:42:45 UTC

Oh, this thing is so far from original

2020-08-28 03:42:51 UTC

I'm restomodding it for sure

2020-08-28 03:42:57 UTC

Nice

2020-08-28 03:43:15 UTC

So whatโ€™s the setup on the new 350 and what generation block is it

2020-08-28 03:43:47 UTC

It's a 1970 010 cast iron block. The heads are high compression double hump 461 castings

2020-08-28 03:44:06 UTC

Long tubes, solid lifter cam, 650 cfm holley on a single plane aluminum intake

2020-08-28 03:44:26 UTC

Nice

2020-08-28 03:44:32 UTC

So first gen lt1

2020-08-28 03:44:46 UTC

This thing was cobbled together from random parts

2020-08-28 03:44:54 UTC

Hah

2020-08-28 03:45:12 UTC

The block was out of a passenger car. Was originally a 250 horsepower low compression 350 with a 2-barrel

2020-08-28 03:45:21 UTC

Oof

2020-08-28 03:45:33 UTC

So did you build the motor or have a shop do it

2020-08-28 03:45:56 UTC

Someone who had the car before me had the engine built, or built it

2020-08-28 03:46:06 UTC

The engine was in the car when I bought it

2020-08-28 03:46:20 UTC

So thatโ€™s it from the picture up there

2020-08-28 03:50:40 UTC

Whereโ€™d you go

2020-08-28 03:53:10 UTC

Had to afk real quick

2020-08-28 03:54:04 UTC

Yes, that's my engine in the picture. Somebody put some money in those heads. It's got screw in rocker studs and guide plates in there, also has 202 stampings on the heads so I suspect it's been machined for bigger valves

2020-08-28 03:54:43 UTC

Nice

2020-08-28 03:54:49 UTC

Has an old Hays breakerless ignition system in it that's been discontinued since 98

2020-08-28 03:54:55 UTC

Wow

2020-08-28 03:54:59 UTC

Runs on 91, has some cam lope to her

2020-08-28 03:55:05 UTC

Never even heard of that

2020-08-28 03:55:12 UTC

How long you had it for?

2020-08-28 03:55:21 UTC

Bought it November of last year

2020-08-28 03:55:34 UTC

What all have you done to it or changed so far?
