I finally found the OBD light! It’s at a funny angle under the passenger seat you can only see when the seet is back. It flashes six times fast so it’s the coolant temperature sensor causing the problem.

Oh wow, this one is 10 years old and Kansas doesn't have law restrictions on the age of cars using hitches. Move to Kansas?

If the car was less than 10 years old when it got the hitch you can still tow with in no matter it’s age, but if you want to add a tow hitch to a vehicle and the vehicle is over 10 years old you can’t add one.

It’s was a complaint from my Dad’s company with a 2008 Ford Ranger.
