@President-elect Merica no, it's an ecoboost. Inline 4 with a 10 speed tranny. With the mods makes about 335 hp

2020-11-08 04:53:30 UTC

What are you guys' thoughts on this model of car? It's a 1957 Dodge Coronet

I don't own a car yet but if I did I'd want it to be something in this era and style

2020-11-08 04:54:31 UTC

1970 cooler

2020-11-08 04:54:56 UTC

Like the Super Bee?

2020-11-08 04:55:22 UTC

yeah

2020-11-08 04:55:34 UTC

1969 mustang is one of the best cars of that general era imo. if you got something that old, you better be good with tools and maintenance, but not a bad car at all if it's what you're into

2020-11-08 04:55:51 UTC

just hard to find one that won't need a ton of work or cost an arm and a leg

2020-11-08 04:58:17 UTC

I mostly am into the looks of cars, I have a taste the big land boats of the 50's and 60's, I like a few 70's ones too, like an Oldsmobile Delta 88 from '73 or something like that

2020-11-08 04:59:27 UTC

yeah, I know what you mean, I usually like bulkier cars too

2020-11-08 05:00:02 UTC

you always could engine swap them, tear the suspension out and rig a newer type. modernize a classic

2020-11-08 05:00:11 UTC

it's fairly popular to do rn

2020-11-08 05:00:46 UTC

Though I would probably keep it looking older on the exterior, with the hubcaps and white walls

2020-11-08 05:00:46 UTC

the rear suspension is gonna be the thing that kills you in older cars usually

2020-11-08 05:01:06 UTC

yeah, I'm saying the parts that don't effect the aesthetics is all

2020-11-08 05:01:10 UTC

Yeah

2020-11-08 05:01:15 UTC

just so it isn't a complete pain to keep up with

2020-11-08 05:01:24 UTC

and you can actually buy parts for

2020-11-08 05:02:13 UTC

And since the engines on those things were huge you could put some kind of performance sport V8, not like they already had V8s

2020-11-08 05:02:50 UTC

Put just for performance and looks, I kind like the '69 Sport Furys

2020-11-08 05:03:15 UTC

yeah, depending on your brand allegiance, or lack there of, people usually drop either hellephant or coyote engines in them

2020-11-08 05:03:52 UTC

*Puts a hellcat or demon engine in a '63 Doge Dart*

2020-11-08 05:03:52 UTC

that's a decent look. I prefer more detail myself, but still a nice one

2020-11-08 05:04:19 UTC

would probably work better than a newer dart lmao

2020-11-08 05:04:33 UTC

but they have put those engines in a prius

2020-11-08 05:04:38 UTC

have you seen that?

2020-11-08 05:05:06 UTC

I don't believe so...

2020-11-08 05:06:07 UTC

Holy shit it's got Army insignia, but its Japanese

2020-11-08 05:06:12 UTC

I kinda want to V8 swap a tesla

2020-11-08 05:06:25 UTC

I would do it for the sound

2020-11-08 05:07:17 UTC

A big 'ol gurggly rumble

2020-11-08 05:07:31 UTC

that's one reason I can't buy electric
