@mathgrant to me this sounds like a problem with the pencils and not the sharpener. have you used these pencils before? What I usually do when I come across a pencil like that I try and pry away the bit of wood that’s next to the lead. (Or try to sharpen on just that side of the pencil, but I think you mentioned that)

They’re cheap Crayola pencils, but they were gifted to me for free, and having 100 different colors just gifted to me by a kind lady in my church was nice. @E Rob

I eventually sharpened the pencil until the lead broke out so I could just pull the wood into something even-looking before sharpening the real way. I got to use my pencil again.

I’m learning a few other tips from videos. For instance, especially with delicate pencils, you want to rotate the sharpener and hold the pencil still.

And don’t drop your pencils, because that can break the lead inside, causing damage that you won’t see until you sharpen enough.

A writing channel has been shot down more than once. Trust me.

I would not suggest crusading for it. And it has been shot down for good reason. We had it implemented for a week and people took advantage of it, posted stuff that was against server rules, but hid it in 2000 word messages so nobody would find it unless they read everything carefully. Plus, the aspect of a writing channel was ruined by a person that we no longer speak of here.
