ooh so hes very young then

2020-10-01 07:09:23 UTC

Yep. His three surviving siblings are bright, fast learners. He's...not.

2020-10-01 07:09:42 UTC

understandable

2020-10-01 07:10:24 UTC

how did you know he was "mentally challenged"

2020-10-01 07:10:54 UTC

As above, it took him a full day to find the water dish that was about ten feet away.

2020-10-01 07:11:36 UTC

If you touch him, he falls over. He can walk and run, but spends a lot of his time just rolling around on his sides.

2020-10-01 07:11:55 UTC

interesting

2020-10-01 07:12:48 UTC

He doesn't play, but he loves attention.

2020-10-01 07:13:30 UTC

I've had a few challenged cats over the decades; most didn't live long due to genetic problems.

2020-10-01 07:13:51 UTC

oof im sorry to hear that

2020-10-01 07:14:29 UTC

It happens. Nature isn't kind most of the time.

2020-10-01 07:14:45 UTC

Every one of my housecats is a defective farm cat.

2020-10-01 07:15:07 UTC

i take it you really love cats lol

2020-10-01 07:15:33 UTC

I love all animals, really. But the original farm cats came with the property.

2020-10-01 07:15:48 UTC

how many do you have total

2020-10-01 07:16:07 UTC

And I hate seeing otherwise fine animals suffer and die because no one wants them.

2020-10-01 07:16:15 UTC

Currently? Oh, man....

2020-10-01 07:16:27 UTC

haha

2020-10-01 07:16:58 UTC

Four momma cats, sixteen kittens, seven adult defectives indoors...

2020-10-01 07:17:20 UTC

And I thiiiiiink about thirty farm cats on six acres.

2020-10-01 07:17:51 UTC

oh my gosh

2020-10-01 07:18:07 UTC

you are absolutely crazy lol

2020-10-01 07:18:24 UTC

how do you afford cat food for them all

2020-10-01 07:18:34 UTC

Some folks dropped ten young cats on us last year; half were female, and started popping off kittens before I could get them fixed.

2020-10-01 07:18:55 UTC

The outdoors ones get fed twice a day, then hunt for food.

2020-10-01 07:19:17 UTC

There's rabbits, mice, rats, ground squirrels, and pheasants running all over.

2020-10-01 07:19:46 UTC

well thats nice

2020-10-01 07:20:01 UTC

The good hunters are fat.

2020-10-01 07:20:02 UTC

at least you know youve got the pests taken care of lol

2020-10-01 07:20:13 UTC

ill bet

2020-10-01 15:53:12 UTC

Successful is an understatement

2020-10-01 15:54:33 UTC

He has hunted for over 40 years and this is his largest Elk by far.

The 3rd thing I thought of was "Oh shit, I gotta lift this thing up on the wall in a few months don't I?" πŸ˜…
