Inspired by Space X, working on my own fleet of "smart" fairings
I got an idea, instead of an arduino, I can make simple flight computers for each fairing with a Attiny
Deployment mech is the hardest. Still a concept in CAD of a "pusher" design
@Yukon hey
Fusion 360
right?
Thats badass. Why not just give them each a parachute tho?
@AMERICANFREEDOM [CEO OF FREEDOM] Yep F360 is my jam 😎
@[TDE] Smokie parachute might be tight due to size contraints, I'm considering streamers to just increase drag. Attiny computer would control maybe 2 or 3 simple sequnces
Program 4 drones with a net between them to catch em
Haha that'll be fun but way over my budget
🤣
> Is anyone a member of Civil Air Patrol USAF aux?
@F6RTSMELLER i used to be
Same here
Cool I have been in for three years. I joined for the aerospace an to fly. But I stayed for ES.
Your handwriting looks like one of my friends
Lmao rly?
I hear Russia tested an anti satellite weapon in space.
They probably did
Looks like it
Did you know that the Soviet union are responsible for the biggest non nuclear man made explosion
They had rocket debris raining down for hours
When?
@Captain_destroyer_2015 Hello there
1960s it was the N1 rocket
Holy shit
Saw the vid
Yeah i think soviets rushed that one
Yeah
They were under big time constraints because the us was ahead in the space race
L o g i k
Also 1st unmanned lunar mission and 1st spacecraft on another planet were ussr
And 1st photos of the dark side of the moon
> They were under big time constraints because the us was ahead in the space race
@Stg_Qube
I mean who tf cares
Better to send someone later than never
Therefore soviets should have taken their time on that one
Yeah I would have loved to still see a successful n1 launch
