I already get free college so
¯\\_(ツ)\_/¯
Then why not go to Uni
Plus
Space industry is growing like crazy
Aerospace is a hot feild
I would chase after it ASAP
It's like historical opportunity
It's just mind blowing to be able to study and work on hardware
That'll go to space and be more and more accessible
Go for aerospace. I wanted to, but I’m not good with math and physics.
I was doing a time lapse of the cassiopeia region last night, and a plane flew by. The line with dots next to it at the bottom third is where the plane few by.
photobomb
yup
it's actually quite annoying
I'm happy I wasn't actually trying for a good image because it would have been ruined
Haha happened to me to
Ruined my startrail
A flock of KC-135Rs south of Spain
@Yukon
I agree with you. With the private sector finally allowed to unleash, I would not be surprised if we have a mission to Mars in the next 10-15 years. Space tourism is really no more than a decade away assuming no regulatory issues.
If the Democrats don't get in the way, I really see it happening. They would probably demand that the space agencies hire "diversely" and drive their prestige into the ground. Or those businesses would pack up and go to other nations, turning the US into another starving authoritarian state.
Without the senate, Artemis is going nowhere
I’m honestly not too worried about any sort of democrat interference in the Artemis program
Ah yes. They'll be peaceful until the crackhead decides he wants to do what his primary school bus driver did for a living.
That defense gave you the freedom to say that idiotic thing.
Gotta sleep. Good night.
It’s honestly very feasible to get costs down to roughly $100 per kilo witching the next few years. Many seem to have ignored the colossal advances made in the past decade or so especially with SpaceX and blue origin. Additionally, asteroid mining has the potential to be far to lucrative to ignore and as launch costs decrease feasibility increases immensely.
well the artemis plan is already set to get the first woman on the moon by 2024, and have us just go back in general, so-
Though asteroid mining is quite reliant on a established presence in the moon to further reduce costs
Yeah, at this point to attempt to detail the Artemis program based off of a diversity issue is ludicrous
yea
so dumb
China isn’t as advanced as people think when it comes to space. While they are fairly capable, they do not have the private sector driving force the US has
yeah. the reason why it is good to have mltiple orginazations all working on the same thing is because they give eachother insight and different veiws
Yes; however, they appear to be gaining proficiency in lunar rover capability but I have not been getting the indication that they are at the stage where they are prepared to establish a lunar base
I view chinas capability on space flight rn much like that if their J-20 program, making progress, but still facing huge hurdles (WS-15 in the J-20s case)
Indeed, they are fairly reliant on US reasearch as they have demonstrated from the J-20 program
Now what’s more likely is a China-Russia lunar program
That’s far more dangerous
