A few of them will be paranoid of what they post at best
They will eventually forget
but if I keep showing examples of online mob mentality, cancel culture, etc they might get the idea
A major problem of the left is that most of the people don't believe in consequences and they never own up to their own mistakes
"Blame the victim"
I'm sorry m'am but you should've though about the consequences of posting a picture of yourself in barely a bikini on a public account
Of course there's people seeing that and of course there's creeps
People are so self absorbed into the little bubble they create for themselves
behind the screen we're given this false sense of security
Our data is being collected, we can be monitored, and the only place people think they need to be more cautious on is the dark web
There are truly people who go out of their way to dox people
damn
psych it's a sponsorship for Express VPN
is this an add that u doing
cause me no buying
lol it's a joke
but the stuff I said above isn't
aah
lmao
lockdowns. she heard the news that Ontario (my province) is locking down again and she was so despair
well that sad news.. but hey all ways have high hopes even for the worst situation keep hopes high... and life good
i think a lot of people have absolutely no idea how far internet archived information. the biggest example that illustrates this ignorance: a few dudes were goofing around on AO3 and decided to start a podcast and read fanfiction for fun. A bunch of people panicked and shamed them for daring to giggle over stories. Like, bro. it doesn't matter whether you "locked" the fic up or not. It CAN be trace back to you and be exposed. That's why they say think about what you write/post.
I was only on social media for a brief time (except for Discord), but I don't recall posting anything offensive.
Yep, and even my discord can be traced to where I live and who I am in reality
I personally don't know how it works but I know it's definitely possible
The Internet is like the real world; with enough work, you can find anything and anyone.
More hilarious posts about lefty meltdowns please
ah yes, Danny Devito
bruh, my teacher is posting quotes of Elliot Page as if her coming out as a man is so inspirational, and my government teacher is already acting as if Biden is President, and they make us watch videos about how America is racist. And I have a focus group coming up about how to spread diversity in our school
A government teacher?
yeah
Jeez...
you can trace the computer's number, the location where you often access the social media (and therefore potentially where you live, work, often stop by).
Government does that all the time in some places
also a question on our test is " what is this an example of: taking money from the wealthy to give to the poor" the answer is equal opportunity, but uh. . . that ain't it bro
Like chy nah
i'd argue it's worst than the real world. in the real world (without internet) you might need a very long time to track down somebody or even figure out the person's history. With Internet? You know everything about everybody
Bruh you have those?
tests?
These politically biased tests
yeah, everything is biased in my gov class
Disgusting
