Smoking anything is pretty terrible for your lungs

2020-12-19 02:17:44 UTC

From what I heard weed isnt as bad if you are over 25

2020-12-19 02:17:45 UTC

Its like setting yourself on fire lol

2020-12-19 02:18:01 UTC

But yea smoking anything is bad but it's a lesser of the 2 evils

2020-12-19 02:18:04 UTC

8 million people on an island? Roughly 26% if that's actually true, I might be exaggerating somewhat.

2020-12-19 02:18:21 UTC

I don't think natural weed is even as bad as cigarettes because it does not have all that synthetic stuff

2020-12-19 02:18:24 UTC

“Not as bad” probably because that’s when your brain is fully developed. Still very bad for you though

2020-12-19 02:18:25 UTC

Weed is mostly a danger if people who are too young and still devoping their brain use it, over 30 its not gonna do that much damage

2020-12-19 02:18:26 UTC

The idea is the same: people aren't working.

2020-12-19 02:18:29 UTC

I could be wrong tho

2020-12-19 02:18:34 UTC

Like alcohol?

2020-12-19 02:18:44 UTC

Like any brain altering substance, yes

2020-12-19 02:19:06 UTC

I wont deny that it isnt bad but I'd be surprised if it's worse tha cigars

2020-12-19 02:19:32 UTC

Woah is the rate actually 26%

2020-12-19 02:19:48 UTC

Cigarettes directly affect the heart and lungs, which gives the 'high'.

2020-12-19 02:20:06 UTC

it's also worth mentioning one is a stimulant and another is a depressant

2020-12-19 02:20:20 UTC

alcohol is a depressant and used for a long time

2020-12-19 02:20:34 UTC

If it's really 300k people. As I said, I might be exaggerating, the rough idea is still there. It could easily be less and still have a big impact.

2020-12-19 02:20:42 UTC

The most dangerous part of the cigarettes is the tar, which serriously fucks up the lungs, i imagine burning weed probably make some tar too, if not as much perhaps

2020-12-19 02:21:19 UTC

Honestly I thought NZ had a lot more people

2020-12-19 02:21:35 UTC

Isn't a cigarette only marginally made of tobacco, and the rest is just tar and other stuff?

2020-12-19 02:21:56 UTC

Other chemicals as well

2020-12-19 02:22:09 UTC

Here natives use tobacco to cleanse themselves. Not sure how relevant it is to the conversation but

2020-12-19 02:22:15 UTC

Tar is just a byproduct of burning anything, but all the extra crap in cigerates contributes to making a lot more tar then just straight tobacco

2020-12-19 02:22:30 UTC

Holy crap I was wrong, 5 million. Where did all the people go?

2020-12-19 02:22:47 UTC

That's my point, thanks for making it more clear.

2020-12-19 02:22:52 UTC

No problem

2020-12-19 02:24:31 UTC

Idk is New Zealand one of those places where it's very sparse

2020-12-19 02:24:35 UTC

@2Lazy2BeOriginal It's actually near 300k.

2020-12-19 02:25:03 UTC

The unemployment?

2020-12-19 02:25:05 UTC

NZ is like a 1/3 of the size of TX. Also it's an island.

2020-12-19 02:25:10 UTC

The welfare.

2020-12-19 02:25:37 UTC

I dont mind people on welfare too much but if they dont have a job. I have a big problem with it

2020-12-19 02:25:59 UTC

From lockdown, unemployment was near 150k in September. Obviously getting better now.

2020-12-19 02:26:29 UTC

That's the problem we had with all the immigrants: they didn't have to work, so they didn't.

2020-12-19 02:27:01 UTC

Man I hate people who take advantage of welfare

2020-12-19 02:27:44 UTC

I hate the way a lot of states have it setup, so that getting a job can actually make you worse off than being unemployed

2020-12-19 02:27:54 UTC

Like there is a lot of people on welfare here. My dad is a rents out houses and this one person went to our house to demand to change something since my dad got government money

2020-12-19 02:27:54 UTC

It f#cks the country, it f#cks the family and it f#cks you too.

2020-12-19 02:28:13 UTC

I feel it should be more of a gradual cutoff then just striaght cut all at once with increasing income from having a job

2020-12-19 02:28:28 UTC

When my parents first came here, they were on welfare but now they aren't anymore
