because they don't know if their talking about their own expression or their own genes

2020-12-27 14:39:35 UTC

yea it's a social construct but is it even practical to categorize it to more than 2 genders?

2020-12-27 14:39:38 UTC

idk sounds like theyre trying to divide us farther

2020-12-27 14:39:39 UTC

Dude is straight up saying gender has nothing to do with biology. Means there is no scientific basis for it.

2020-12-27 14:39:42 UTC

I dont consider neutral a gender

2020-12-27 14:39:56 UTC

He is right. I dont know what he means by individual sexuality

2020-12-27 14:41:44 UTC

He is also right about language evolving over time. But got lucky that English did. I doubt other languages will do the same

2020-12-27 14:42:10 UTC

not only because it causes more confusion but they would literally have to change everything to fit this

2020-12-27 14:42:54 UTC

He mentions a billion personalities too. I'm not sure if he means they are genders or to prove theres more than 2 genders

2020-12-27 14:44:34 UTC

When he says catagorize into 2, everyone has different levels of masculinity and femininity. I dont see how inaccurate it is since what's the point of making it 6

2020-12-27 14:44:49 UTC

Maybe I misunderstood idk

2020-12-27 14:49:41 UTC

They also mention why xx and xxx chromosomes arent the same and should be a different sex. Why though? When has it been useful to catagrozie on as that

2020-12-27 14:59:23 UTC

Dont mistake gender and sex

2020-12-27 15:00:35 UTC

I know the difference between the 2.

2020-12-27 15:00:43 UTC

Theres two sexes, male or female, difference being reproductive and biological functions

2020-12-27 15:00:54 UTC
2020-12-27 15:01:01 UTC

Oh ok

2020-12-27 15:01:21 UTC

I think he means that sex influences gender greatly

2020-12-27 15:01:25 UTC

Not too sure

2020-12-27 15:01:43 UTC

Well technically there's 2 and a half genders; male, female, and hermaphrodites. Tho herms are extremely rare and make up less than 1% of the population

2020-12-27 15:02:02 UTC

Gender is mostly socially constructed

2020-12-27 15:02:13 UTC

wouldn't say they are a different sex. Just abnormal

2020-12-27 15:02:24 UTC

That's what I said. there's only sperm and egg. Everything else is a mutation. There are two sexes and any mutation is still within either sperm or egg influence

2020-12-27 15:03:03 UTC

Hermaphrodite isn't a different sex/gender. They still abide by presenting male or female.

2020-12-27 15:03:28 UTC

It wouldn't be practical to say hermaphorodites as a different sex

2020-12-27 15:03:29 UTC

A woman shaving her head and wearing lipstick and a flannel does not some how change her being a sperm or an egg, and x or a y, a male or a female. Gender expression is not science.

2020-12-27 15:04:02 UTC

Well thats why i said technically 2 and a half sex's

2020-12-27 15:04:08 UTC

You were saying the "dude" is saying gender has nothing to do with biology. Whoever this dude is, is right, gender is social, sex biological, simplest way to remember it

2020-12-27 15:04:46 UTC

Meanwhile in other languages: :|

2020-12-27 15:05:00 UTC

Question: If genetic mutations that create hermaphrodites or other sexual reproduction abnormalities creates 'new genders,' that are backed by science, what have these people to say on the genetic differences between ethnicities? Are different racial classes actually entirely different species because of differences in biology?

2020-12-27 15:05:33 UTC

Again... gender is social, sex is biological

2020-12-27 15:05:49 UTC

A lot of things you cant choose. Like age and race and gender except in English. I dont see how practical it is

2020-12-27 15:06:03 UTC

Gender is a social contruct crafted by a French female scientist in the 50's as a theory, and daid theory would be tested in the 70's by an american scientist with 2 young boys, one of which he forced to be dressed and acted as female and the other raised as a male. this experiment would ultimately lead to both committing suicide later in life

That's one of the problems in this conversation. SOME people argue gender is biological

2020-12-27 15:06:34 UTC

Some don't

2020-12-27 15:06:46 UTC

We can't even have an actual conversation on an issue if the rules are not set to talk about the same thing

2020-12-27 15:06:50 UTC

Hmm would they have committed suicide if they weren't forced? Or felt pressured to

2020-12-27 15:07:20 UTC

p sure there was gender theory going on in 1930s Germany

2020-12-27 15:07:51 UTC

Its pretty established that gender is social, many people use the word wrong which is why people think that way

2020-12-27 15:07:59 UTC

I can get around the idea of transgender. is there a lot of theories of non binary?
