There is a good amount of science of Male and female brains being different which I can get behind.

2020-12-27 15:14:52 UTC

I would consider them as the female sex but in my opinion thats irrelevant, gender is far more shaping on lives and thats really what I care about

2020-12-27 15:15:08 UTC

the 2 are different based on the chemical balance in them, disrupt this balance with any other chemical or force this sex exclusive chemical to not produce can lead to mental health issues, such as improper growth of the brain at best and tumors inside the brain at worst

2020-12-27 15:15:22 UTC

If they went through surgery than perhaps. If not than nope

2020-12-27 15:15:40 UTC

Im biologically a man but im not defined by my reproductive system, I've been shaped by how I was raised, the culture around me, the education I received

2020-12-27 15:16:00 UTC

Do you identify as trans or non binary by any chance?

2020-12-27 15:16:08 UTC

no

2020-12-27 15:16:17 UTC

Defined? No. Influenced? Yes. Men and women think and develop differently based on the testosterone and estrogen in them.

2020-12-27 15:16:52 UTC

It's also why when you start taking hormones as a transgender person, the doctors tell you that your behavior WILL Change. Your brain won't change any because it's already developed, but the biological chemicals in your body DO influence behavior.

2020-12-27 15:16:52 UTC

I don't have much time so I'll end off with my stance. I dont care what gender you are as long as you dont deny your biological sex and make it your sole personality

2020-12-27 15:16:57 UTC

Both differ, some men have a lot of testosterone some dont, same for women

2020-12-27 15:17:18 UTC

And the biological chemicals in your body DO influence how your body grows in utero and beyond

2020-12-27 15:17:35 UTC

Theres always variances. Not sure how it affects your masculinity or femininity

2020-12-27 15:18:32 UTC

Your amount of testosterone doesnt really influence social constructs by any significant amount

2020-12-27 15:18:54 UTC

Ah gotcha. Know they are impactful in sports

2020-12-27 15:18:56 UTC

Your biological sex does not control or define you or anyone. But to deny that biological sex, the genetic makeup of one's body, does not have influence on the way the mind develops, works, emotion control, etc is blatantly false.

2020-12-27 15:19:07 UTC

Look at just about ANY relationship therapist and they will tell you men and women communicate differently.

2020-12-27 15:19:15 UTC

Which is usually what causes the biggest problems in relationships

2020-12-27 15:19:37 UTC

Oh yea people who deny their sex I whole heartedly disagree with

2020-12-27 15:19:40 UTC

p sure we agree gender is a social construct in the causes where we legit mean gender expression.

2020-12-27 15:19:46 UTC

Women and men communicate different due to how they have been raised

2020-12-27 15:20:18 UTC

When I was a kid/teen, I did a lot of online roleplaying where the forum rules prohibited sexual content, so in order to avoid even saying the word 'sex' on profiles, people used 'gender.' It was legitimately a synonym for sex.

2020-12-27 15:20:26 UTC

Really? Since male and female brains have different chemicals. I think it would influence how they act

2020-12-27 15:20:40 UTC

Men are often raised to avoid expressing emotions whereas girls arent

2020-12-27 15:20:42 UTC

Some in this argument use gender/sex as if it's the same thing and argue there is biological support for 'gender.' There's not. Gender expression is a personal choice.

2020-12-27 15:20:58 UTC

Wrong. But I can't give you a crash course on male and female biology/psychology

2020-12-27 15:21:10 UTC

Thats not at all wrong

2020-12-27 15:21:12 UTC

Wrong.

2020-12-27 15:21:17 UTC

Thats how we are culturally raised

2020-12-27 15:21:21 UTC

Wrong.

2020-12-27 15:21:29 UTC

yea in the end, you chose your gender

2020-12-27 15:21:44 UTC

...ok...

2020-12-27 15:21:51 UTC

...why am I wrong?

2020-12-27 15:23:08 UTC

I have already explained to you. Men and women think differently, communicate differently, problem solve differently. It isn't all based on 'how you're brought up.'

Easiest example is, ON AVERAGE (and we are talking averages as outliers always exist). When women complain about something, they don't necessarily want it fixed. This is why women complain to their female friends. They just want someone to hear them. However, when they complain to a man, a man's mind thinks, "If she says something, it means she wants it fixed" so he tries to problem solve for her. She gets mad that he can't just listen to her

2020-12-27 15:23:29 UTC

Because the male mind tends to want to FIX problems if they're mentioned, the female mind tends to express frustration without desiring a fix.

2020-12-27 15:23:55 UTC

He isnt wrong that the environment influences us greatly. It doesnt mean that Male and female communicate the same since theres been science of how Male and female brains differ

2020-12-27 15:23:58 UTC

But it is tho... theres no chemical which tells men to avoid communicating their emotions...

2020-12-27 15:24:09 UTC

If you really want a longer walk through on the difference between the brain, Mark Gungor has a great seminar on it: https://youtu.be/814eR5K7KD8

2020-12-27 15:24:10 UTC

I doubt communication isnt affected by chemicals

2020-12-27 15:24:44 UTC

Men don't avoid communicating their emotions. Testosterone affects emotion control.
