Sure. Police definitely need work. Especially from an individual basis because obviously the police departments in every town are not a problem. There's clearly something in the system that's wrong. Same with prison. Prison system needs reformation. I'm not sure how, but it's been a mess for well over 150 years.

I'm looking at the prison system back in the early 1900s and beyond where people were sent there and literally tortured with electrocution, the hose, it was not meant to reform inmates. Some inmates cannot be reformed, for sure, and we need different ways to work with different inmates and some inmates can never be returned to society be it for their crimes or their inability to reform.

I'm generally more conservative in general, but I'm independent minded and I don't stick to party lines. I stick to ideas, I look at experiences and data, and I try to talk out what's working, what's not working, and individual situations. I do lean more conservative in general. I have some less traditional areas I give on and some I won't. Not wanting to torture inmates shouldn't be a "liberal" talking point tho

Thank you. I understand there's a lot of lack of empathy for criminals. I've seen more than enough 'just monsters' and while I completely understand that response, I also see the general population forget that criminals are humans and they generally have human feelings too. If you stick them in prison and just say "fuck em," then they aren't going to be helped if they WANT help in understanding their behavior and changing it. I've been listening to some of the INSANE zoosadist and pedo drama that happened in the last few years with furry community. It can be very hard to remember these people are human with what they do, but for true reformation and redemption, we cannot forget inmates and criminals are humans and are fallable and forgiveable as the rest of us... even if they cannot rejoin society
