well technically....few cases where protestors were hit by cars/trucks...the driver got off with a warning
one such example was the case of a protestor hit by a truck on brooklyn bridge...
the thing is...u have to be actively trying to avoid or stop the car prior to hitting the protestor to get out of it
and it was caught on video
to be declared an unfortunate accident
One is malice aforethought. One is accidental
now that nighttime incident where a section of highway was supposed to be closed in wash state...where 2 protestors were hit, 1 died...the driver did actively try to avoid hitting the majority of the protestors but still ended up in jail
