i guess im just one of the lucky ones?
Biological mother, rather
my mother and son were both adopted
However, I know that she was 12 when I was conceived. That kinda sticks in my head.
adoption screening is important too. christian adoption centers are picky about where the child goes and lgbt of course have to scream about it because they aren't exactly on the top of the list
In California kids at 12 kill people do drugs and have sex it seems
dang
My biological mom was in Chicago
@WarWiz training them young, eh?
my parents are still together
its disgusting what some gangs do and the shit they force children to do.
it's because kids get a slap on the wrist
I was homeless at age 14 from drug addict parents and seen alot of shit
some time in juvie
and out
My black cousin was adopted and he is awesome, he really is family to us, adoption is great
@WarWiz hope you're doin better now
adoption is great, but the living condition for children that may have to live in those kinds of places for a decade or more is horrible.
i wouldnt wish it on anyone.
Adoption is awesome, the foster care system isn't though.
I was a nurse for 25 years. I am also a Christian and pro-life. I know that the instances where where a pregnant woman's life is endangered by the child are rare in the extreme. If the mother dies before the child is viable, both die. Therefore if the child can not be saved at all, but the mom can, abortion would be appropriate. But this is an extremely rare situation. Every effort must be made, first, to avoid this before abortion can be considered.
Oh ya I own a 40 acre ranch and 4 kids ππΊπΈ
better than being dead
Yeah, I think he is very lucky to get a great family and whatnot, but the foster care system is awful from what I have heard
i have a more pessimistic view on the topic, Alin.
ohyeah, foster parents. i heard some horror stories about foster parents. people that just take in kids for the extra cash and then treat the kids like absolute garbage
I had a friend in the foster system
sometimes i feel like they would be better off not getting a chance, rather than the only thing they know being actual hell.
call me fucked up, but idk man.
Adoption is so much better than foster, because with adoption the parents are dead set on having this kid as their own, but foster they treat the kids like shit and only do it for money
that's why screening is so important. government seems to lack the ability to do things correctly
its fucking sad.
The foster care system is inherently flawed
Foster is for money and sometimes the kids that live there can be a bad influence or a problem
These people don't care about the kids, its only for money
There are definitely some good foster parents, but they aren't the majority
But there absolutely are some great foster parents out there, you just don't really hear about them
yeah there are also some of the trouble makers, kids who have grown in horrible situations and are violent or cause just major issues
therapy should be a requirement, idk if it is or not
Military is a good option when you have nothing
