I’m in a super liberal school but the law teacher is actually fucking normal
Such a breath of fresh air
He showed us a CNN article saying BLM protests are safe but lockdown protests weren’t
And he asked who believed that to be the right thing
Then let the dummies who raised their hand speak
One said “BLM more important”
Then the teacher slayed them with facts and read them the constitution, and explained how what may be more important to one may not be to another

But then I had a class lecturing me on how “the hijab is a symbol of empowerment, not oppression”
And let’s just say I’ll be getting an F on that probably......... (I went into facts about how women in other countries will literally be beaten and killed for not wearing one, and that it’s a symbol that you are basically owned by your husband)

It was for English class so as long as my writing was flawless i should be good, and if not I can always report.
It wasn’t a huge assignment either, not worth a lot of points

Teachers here have gotten in trouble for grading differing opinions bad so I think they’ve learned their lesson
Still doesn’t change the crap they spew in class though

So technically he **was** asking for my opinion

My APUSH teacher mentioned the fact the media pushes the riots as peaceful even though 45 people died

And he gained my respect instantly

I knew my law teacher was good on day 1 cuz the first thing he said was “I am not here to tell you what to think, but I will challenge your beliefs and ask you to back your own up with facts... I am trying to make you make decisions based on facts and not feelings”

Something to that effect at least

My math teacher last year was a big trumpie too

And the dumbass kids who couldn’t think for themselves started freaking out
