In america, you have to treat every patient whether or not they have insurance. If they don't have insurance they do their best not to charge you high but do not do well with treating an uninsured patient

In regards to the healthcare...If you don't have insurance, and it's clear that you'll never be able to pay for it afterwards, you can apply for hardship status. Often, hospitals will for give all or most of your debt.
