I like making bird friendly and amphibian friendly habitats in my yard
since they eat a lot of pests
The problem is, in most wildfire areas. We have too much DEAD trees. Which they won't let us chop down
In Montana 2017, we had huge problems with wildfires
let me burn dead wood and leaves in my fire pit
Because we had ALOT of unremoved dead trees
Fire pits rule
white smoke produced from dead leaves isn't toxic
Nope not at all
Get some 100% pure hickory logs
And cook from the fire pit
Best food you'll ever have
The tea
Is goob
Anyways. When we recycle most of it just gets thrown away because they can't recycle it unless its clean
you need some dead trees
they're habitats for pest eating insects
but not all of em
Ok but what does that have to do with Hickory logs?
I the area I'm in we should get a shit ton of mosquitos
but we don't
Neat
and this city doesn't spray a lot for bugs
*spraying only temporary works anyways*
we just have good natural populations of bats and dragonflies
Yup those guys will eat em
mostly dragonflies
Frogs and Geckos as we
Well*
And birda
Birds*
Birds love Mosquitos
Robins kept the 17 yr cicadas in check here
What if Buzzfeed did a video on Wildfires
robins and thrushes are built to eat bugs
Yup
They'd probably be saying a bunch of bull
And spreading Green Propaganda
Buzzfeed is my source
bluebird or martians are better at keeping your garden pest free than sprays
