However i think that given clinical research is making this decision i believe they are using it as a leap to say kids can decide their kids can decide if they are LGBTQ imo

im skeptical of it as well, i have friends that are trans though, and i dont have them in teh slightest. which is why i propose gender surgery and hormone repalcement not be allowed until you turn 21, the legal drinking age. ill reiterate, in your mid 20s is when your brain is close to fully developed. i think waiting till closer to that is a good idea before people are allowed to mutilate themselves.

Because if you’re born a boy and you want to change to a girl it doesn’t change the fact that your a boy and it just messes your life up and you’ll regret getting the transformation surgery

drinking, and in a lot of places, cigarette/drug use isnt allowed till 21 becauase of the responsibility behind it and the effect it can have on your body, why should hormone replacement or gender reassignment surgery be anything different?

its true it might mess your life up but if you are 21 then you should be allowed to make that decision for yourself

they do, and i think part of that is some being forced into that kind of ideology as children, and a huge part of it is them undergoing these things before their minds are fully developed.

we are going to have issues in like 10 years

if they want to think they should be the opposite gender when they are younger, like 15 or something, fine. but let them age, mature, develop, and become adults before they are allowed to act on it. then we can make sure these people dont jump the gun (like with a phase that many children go through in some capacity) and ruin their lives

transgender surgery is pretty trash right now, and has a lot of botched cases, and definitely ruins lives.

My problem is when you get a transformation surgery to “change your gender” it might destroy your urinary tract, hormone blockers would screw up your body and it would give you poor health

but this brings us back full circle to the education system, specifically sex ed, in schools needing a complete reform

While i dont want to be harsh, i do agree. Gender Dysphoria is a mental disorder (and i cant believe it was declassified as one a couple years ago) and mutilating yourself SHOULD NOT be the first attempt at solving it

now i dont think we should try to "reeducate" them or anything..... but its a mental disorder that proper education, and possibly medicine (just like you would do with depression) cna help them.

It just doing transgender surgery is extremely dangerous and unnecessary
