"God" can literally mean: the driving force that compels you to do good

2020-07-03 00:35:29 UTC

I also don't deny the existence of Catholics who are pro abortion.

2020-07-03 00:35:54 UTC

Do you think im any less of a good person for being atheist? (not accusing you of such, just asking)

2020-07-03 00:35:56 UTC

The term "under god" reflects on our very needed humility as a species. The day we see ourselves as the driving force to do good is the day we will STOP being inherently good

2020-07-03 00:36:09 UTC

@kyzercube Yes, the Amish are Christian extremists. :)

2020-07-03 00:36:16 UTC

Catholics who support abortion are not praticing Catholics that goes agaisnt everything the Chruch teaches.

2020-07-03 00:36:19 UTC

But

2020-07-03 00:36:20 UTC

Which slutty Catholics are pro abortion? Inquiring minds want to know...

2020-07-03 00:36:22 UTC

We aren't inherently good.

2020-07-03 00:36:31 UTC

everyone can choose what they want to belive in

2020-07-03 00:36:45 UTC

As soon as you think you are, you class what you do as being good because you are good.

2020-07-03 00:36:48 UTC

"under god" was added later on, and i dislike it. I stopped saying "under god" when reciting the pledge because of that, but also because i stopped subscribing to religion.

2020-07-03 00:36:52 UTC

@Sugar Goat we are when we realize we arent the most powerful beings in the universe

2020-07-03 00:36:53 UTC

That is literally what the marxists do.

2020-07-03 00:36:54 UTC

@Marlon B I think you answered your own question.

2020-07-03 00:37:08 UTC

But that's what I am saying though

2020-07-03 00:37:08 UTC

@HonBadge yep thats what is great about america

2020-07-03 00:37:12 UTC

That is what I think you guys are missing

2020-07-03 00:37:21 UTC

REALLY. You should go watch what Jordan Peterson has to say about it

2020-07-03 00:37:29 UTC

Very very interesting.

2020-07-03 00:37:30 UTC

i love jordan peterson

2020-07-03 00:37:32 UTC

I'm refining what you're saying. Just FYI. :)

2020-07-03 00:37:41 UTC

It is a secular take on god and the meaning behind religion

2020-07-03 00:37:45 UTC

VERY insightful

2020-07-03 00:38:03 UTC

I am sorry Sugar Goat, but I think that you are categorizing people who disagree with you religiously into political groups that they are not even a part of

2020-07-03 00:38:11 UTC

Peterson misses the forest for the trees. He is a postmodern trying to rebuild something that never went away.

2020-07-03 00:38:37 UTC

Nah

2020-07-03 00:38:38 UTC

I am very highly skeptical of Jordan Peterson's claim that he suffers extreme physical and psychological deficiencies when eating vegetables.

2020-07-03 00:38:44 UTC

I think he is trying to make people more open to god haha

2020-07-03 00:38:45 UTC

poor @Deleted User doesn't even know what's going on at this point

2020-07-03 00:38:55 UTC

lol it's a genetic condition from what I understand

2020-07-03 00:38:58 UTC

Nope, I'm not. I just know real history.

2020-07-03 00:39:03 UTC

I just don't find that very convincing no matter how much horrible he details it.

2020-07-03 00:39:03 UTC

@AWOIII lol did he ever?

2020-07-03 00:39:10 UTC

Because Jordan Peterson understand the NEED for a god to follow

2020-07-03 00:39:15 UTC

She! Still a girl. And no, not even that.

2020-07-03 00:39:16 UTC

think of it like lactose intolerance, people that get sick drinking milk. it's a condition

2020-07-03 00:39:19 UTC

Because he KNOWS we are inherently evil in many ways

2020-07-03 00:39:42 UTC

Well... I've had brussels sprouts before...and they disturb my sense of well being with taste, texture and smell.

2020-07-03 00:39:47 UTC

Jordan Peterson thinks that God is a story we tell ourselves so we know what good is.

2020-07-03 00:39:49 UTC

@Meryl.140.15 He claims it's a hereditary thing. If my memory serves correct, his daughter has the same problem.
