Every hurricane that hit in the gulf this year was between Corpis Cristi and Lake Charles. Insane!

The house I live in has an OLD mossy oak tree that's just branch arced over it. My neighber's house when I was a kid was the same way and it split his house in 2 when Andrew hit in 1992

We are also lucky that we can afford to run generators. We have 3 generator so it cost like 60 dollars a day. I feel bad for the people that can't afford to have generators or that don't have nothing left to use the generator for.

Our neighbors had their house and barn destroyed so we have been cooking for them.
Yes we will be out of power for a few days to a few weeks
That's one thing I am humbled most about living in Louisiana. Neighbors here are really good to each other and they never forget what you do for them.
One of our neighbors that live a few miles down the road is a farmer so he has hundreds of gallons of gas so we are good on gas.
