Weather channel be lying that wasn't no 90 mph winds

2020-10-11 17:33:10 UTC

> I can’t believe I managed to evade 4 freaking hurricanes this year that went through my state
@kyzercube What state?

2020-10-11 17:33:13 UTC

I was pretty sure Delta was gonna be the one, but it shifted West

2020-10-11 17:33:16 UTC

You would need tops speeds of mach 10 winds to bend phat steel beams

2020-10-11 17:33:18 UTC

Louisiana

2020-10-11 17:33:22 UTC

Wow

2020-10-11 17:33:27 UTC

I live 10 miles East of Baton Rouge

2020-10-11 17:33:28 UTC

I live in louisiana also

2020-10-11 17:33:34 UTC

We got it bad

2020-10-11 17:33:36 UTC

just like how you need something that burns better than jet fuel to melt steel beams

2020-10-11 17:33:41 UTC

We are you at @KungFlu BatSoup ?

2020-10-11 17:33:53 UTC

*Israel back at it again with the steel beams*

2020-10-11 17:33:54 UTC

In between lake charles and lafayette

2020-10-11 17:34:03 UTC

Everyone West of Lafayette... yeah, you got direct hit

2020-10-11 17:34:17 UTC

This one was worst than laura

2020-10-11 17:34:40 UTC

On one of our barns the wind was so bad just it blew one of our roll up doors in

2020-10-11 17:34:49 UTC

That

2020-10-11 17:34:49 UTC

My brother worked at the plants just West of Lake Charles. The first thing I thought about when Laura hit were those plants.

2020-10-11 17:35:22 UTC

Yeah on the weather channel they said there was an explosion at one

2020-10-11 17:35:25 UTC

Think about this guys, if you die of coronavirus in your 50s you basically will make national news

2020-10-11 17:35:26 UTC

Is he ok?

2020-10-11 17:35:50 UTC

Every hurricane that hit in the gulf this year was between Corpis Cristi and Lake Charles. Insane!

2020-10-11 17:36:17 UTC

@Kaladin I never thought about that, but I see the logic behind it lol

2020-10-11 17:36:34 UTC

Except if you died in a nursing home ofc.

2020-10-11 17:37:01 UTC

There are some stats that show the number of nursing home deaths making up 40% of the total deaths in the US

2020-10-11 17:37:13 UTC

We no joke had someone's car port fly across our yard. The whole thing. It was on the ground it flew.

2020-10-11 17:37:23 UTC

Car PORT?

2020-10-11 17:37:31 UTC

As in the canopy?

2020-10-11 17:37:35 UTC

Yes

2020-10-11 17:38:01 UTC

And it was a nice one that had steel beams to wasn't no cheap piece of junk.

2020-10-11 17:38:47 UTC

The house I live in has an OLD mossy oak tree that's just branch arced over it. My neighber's house when I was a kid was the same way and it split his house in 2 when Andrew hit in 1992

2020-10-11 17:38:58 UTC

Damn

2020-10-11 17:39:14 UTC

One of my friends parents own a few rent houses and a tree fell on one

2020-10-11 17:39:42 UTC

Luckily no one was in it but the house is done it needs to be demolished

2020-10-11 17:39:51 UTC

Same here.

2020-10-11 17:40:12 UTC

We got really lucky we only lost the top of our pool deck.

2020-10-11 17:40:37 UTC

We have three barns and the house so I was sure one of them was gonna go.

2020-10-11 17:41:23 UTC

Get ready for a cold winter. With this many hurricanes this year, the cold fronts are going to have little effort coming down a lot.

2020-10-11 17:41:36 UTC

They cool down the ocean.

2020-10-11 17:42:07 UTC

We are also lucky that we can afford to run generators. We have 3 generator so it cost like 60 dollars a day. I feel bad for the people that can't afford to have generators or that don't have nothing left to use the generator for.

2020-10-11 17:42:47 UTC

You still out of power?
