absentees are generally safer

2020-10-16 02:38:27 UTC

Dude my govt teacher is surprisingly unbiased, I got hella lucky

2020-10-16 02:38:30 UTC

It doesn't take much organizing. Bring a table, chair, and a Trump or Republican or whatever campaign sign you're most interested in.

2020-10-16 02:38:57 UTC

Pick an appropriate sidewalk or plaza, and chill for a Saturday.

2020-10-16 02:39:04 UTC

lol

2020-10-16 02:39:08 UTC

Have some people there to protect you if stuff goes south as well

2020-10-16 02:39:14 UTC

yea, my town has a "harbor" with tons of foot traffic and shops

2020-10-16 02:39:21 UTC

im thinking of setting up something

2020-10-16 02:39:24 UTC

fun and easy way to get hours

2020-10-16 02:39:29 UTC

but more importantly; it actually does something long term

2020-10-16 02:39:47 UTC

promoting these discussions promotes real change; a single politician doesnt really

2020-10-16 02:39:59 UTC

Agreed

2020-10-16 02:39:59 UTC

there are issues that politics cant solve or wont.

2020-10-16 02:40:24 UTC

wrong channel oops

2020-10-16 02:40:53 UTC

ooh, if attending meetings works, watch a county commissioner meeting. Get a better understanding of the responsibilities of your local government. The separation of powers into the local-state-federal levels is just as important as the separation into legislative-executive-judicial.

2020-10-16 02:40:57 UTC

@Bear oh yea

2020-10-16 02:41:01 UTC

safer then mail in

2020-10-16 02:41:05 UTC

but idk really, how do we know

2020-10-16 02:41:12 UTC

for all we know the poll workers are throwing out trump votes just like the mail in people

2020-10-16 02:41:22 UTC

its just the polls have less steps, and less people

2020-10-16 02:41:56 UTC

@Bear I really do suggest intentionally making time to vote in person. I'm doing it that way because I don't trust any other way of getting my vote in

2020-10-16 02:41:58 UTC

People like to talk about how we need government to build roads. The municipal and county levels are where most of that happens.

2020-10-16 02:42:18 UTC

ye

2020-10-16 02:42:24 UTC

im worried

2020-10-16 02:42:25 UTC

States mostly just deal with the highways, and the Fed mostly just deals with interstates.

2020-10-16 02:42:28 UTC

my friend wont do the change my mind with me

2020-10-16 02:42:33 UTC

and people in my town are kinda radical

2020-10-16 02:42:38 UTC

what if I get attacked

2020-10-16 02:43:09 UTC

God I hope not @Bear

2020-10-16 02:43:12 UTC

like

2020-10-16 02:43:15 UTC

im not defenseless

2020-10-16 02:43:20 UTC

but im also kinda a twig

2020-10-16 02:43:29 UTC

im 6ft 4 so I doubt people would mess with me but still

2020-10-16 02:43:38 UTC

idk if I wanna take that risk just to get some political hours

2020-10-16 02:44:01 UTC

What'd ya'll think of that colorado democrat James O'keefe exposed?

2020-10-16 02:44:04 UTC

wtf did anyone else know they're making a new alice in wonderland but all of the characters are black?

2020-10-16 02:44:25 UTC

talk about black washing

2020-10-16 02:44:29 UTC

but the comments

2020-10-16 02:44:34 UTC

2020-10-16 02:44:37 UTC
