There are many different ways to look at evolution and Christianity. The first is pure "intelligent design" and believe that Genesis is more of a mythology. The next is to break evolution up into many different groups and believe in a mixture of intelligent design and genesis. The next, which is my favorite, is that the "days" in genesis aren't actually days. God says multiple times in the bible that time is insignificant to him, and that phrase likely more was a representation of stages. Especially because it has been translated so many times. This allows for evolution through intelligent design
