2019-10-16 21:03:29 UTC

Usually these handheld things are shit compared to just Retroarch and a Bluetooth controller but this is an neat way to add features and it looks slick

2019-10-16 21:11:47 UTC

(((adapters sold separately)))

2019-10-16 21:54:14 UTC

It's an FPGA, so the emulation will be highly accurate, fast, and you can upres games

2019-10-16 21:54:57 UTC

The screen is like 400PPI and you can 10x upres GBA games

2019-10-16 21:55:55 UTC

...but why would you want to

2019-10-16 21:58:52 UTC

really? my myboy is free on the app store. how will they even compete

2019-10-16 22:03:25 UTC

2019-10-17 00:33:41 UTC

but im not 14 and dont play games on the go

2019-10-17 09:04:39 UTC

want to have nightmares ? https://cfp.all-systems-go.io/media/homed-asg2019.pdf there you go have some nightmares

2019-10-17 09:05:46 UTC

<SystemD - Homed> or otherway to but it "how systemD is trying to ruin linux home enviroment" :D

2019-10-17 09:08:00 UTC

$5 FPGA

2019-10-17 09:08:02 UTC

looks kinda neat

2019-10-17 13:40:08 UTC

lol

2019-10-17 15:21:20 UTC

those under screen fingerprint readers are optical though, right?

2019-10-17 15:23:02 UTC

Yeah

2019-10-17 15:23:41 UTC

Basically Samsung has a flaw where any screen protector or transparent case can bypass the fingerprint scanner

2019-10-19 10:03:10 UTC

Is it actually possible to use a 2 GB laptop/convertible today

2019-10-19 10:03:23 UTC

Seems like windows 10 will only get more bloat over time

2019-10-19 10:03:58 UTC

Will getting LTSC solve this

2019-10-19 11:04:13 UTC

no

2019-10-19 11:04:23 UTC

also ltsc does not come with touchscreen stuff iirc

2019-10-19 11:04:29 UTC

i could be wrong these days

2019-10-19 12:07:06 UTC

@Aqualiteking B450-F gaming is better tho than tomahawk afaik

2019-10-19 12:07:47 UTC
2019-10-19 12:09:14 UTC

and when it comes to ram anything faster mhz/timing= better pretty much works these days (unlike first gen ryzens had at start)

2019-10-19 12:09:51 UTC

no more b-die hunting BS really (you might still benefit minimalisticly from it if you have money to throw away ??)

2019-10-19 12:51:04 UTC

reading anything tervy posts is like having a stroke

2019-10-19 12:52:25 UTC

i know;_; specialy if im in hurry

2019-10-19 12:52:38 UTC

i should focus more on the stuff i write (and proofread it before sending :P)

2019-10-19 13:07:25 UTC

there was a roundup of most of the higher end (11 of them) x570 boards and it turns out if you account for the same timings and frequency, there is less than a ~10% CPU performance in production workloads (e.g. blender) and less than 4% for gaming, but consider the fact that the best performing motherboard is *$370*, the 4th best is $190. If youre just on ryzen 2nd gen then most people recommend getting the b450 tomahawk max, but i can't personally speak for the performance of it

2019-10-19 13:07:40 UTC

that being said, i have the cheapest x570 board right now and my computer hasn't blown up yet

2019-10-19 13:11:12 UTC

the only problem i've ran into is that I can't get the same overclocks as other people using the same exact ram, but it could just be silicon lottery
