Yeah in America we pay a premium for our insurance. Most good plans get preventative services fully covered all the time (i.e. physicals, checkups, dental cleanings. ect.) some things you have a "co-pay" so X-rays or special services at the doctor you owe some and the insurance company owes some. Then for the BIG HUGE things you have to pay up to a certain point (called the deductible) before the insurance company really pays the rest of a big procedure or treatment.
