Religion, like pretty much anything, can be used unjustly. My whole family is very much Christian. My parents are pastors, and I have 3 older sisters and we were all raised in the church. My youngest-older sister is married to a man who told my middle-older sister that God told him that he was supposed to marry her (middle-older). She said he was full of crap, and he turned around and married my youngest-older sister claiming that he 'had the wrong sister'.
And trust me, he is a horrible guy that I hope rots in jail someday.
