But that's a few 10s of people countrywide. Can't remember if there have been deaths. Still up in the air as to the cause. On the super shady side, some manufacturers dilute the oil with vitamin e acetate oil, which can give lipid phneumonia, and use counterfeit Chinese made cartridges that offgas toxic metal fumes. On the less sketchy side, the terpenes they use for flavoring might not be as safe as ones obtained from the plant itself. And there have been cases of people not even using marijuana, but sketchy synthetic cannabinoids, and thats pretty much universally a terrible idea.

DHGate sells counterfeit packaging, or packaging for brands that don't exist, so folks are getting tricked into thinking they're legit dispensary stuff.

...and even those sometimes test above what they should for pesticides.

But that's all black market stuff, so putting a ban on selling carts is fucking stupid because the ones causing problems are already illegal, but a 4-month bad is a very measured response I feel.
