The second most popular marching song in the csa army was nothing but shit talking platation owners for being fat and lazy<:KEK:726877368601411624>

@( ಠ ͜ʖರೃ) I don't think we should have went to war. With machinery being invented, slavery was already economically infeasible

2020-11-07 05:46:35 UTC

read what I say goob

i never said nor do i think that the Civilp war was solely on slavery

still, i am glad the confederates lost

I do NOT think we should tear down their statute either

2020-11-07 05:46:42 UTC

Slavery was on it's way out the door anyways

2020-11-07 05:46:48 UTC

> I highly doubt a full 25% of the south's population decided to march to war so a bunch of rich people could continue to be lazy and keep slaves
@Mcgoober
Never thought of it like that tbh 👀

> @( ಠ ͜ʖರೃ) I don't think we should have went to war. With machinery being invented, slavery was already economically infeasible
@newt-gecko-goat the south seceded over it

the south *left* and the south wasn't giving it up

2020-11-07 05:47:12 UTC

The mobilization the south engaged in is unheard of even today

2020-11-07 05:47:25 UTC

Hear me out
Slavery was actually good for the blacks in the long run

2020-11-07 05:47:31 UTC

Literally every other man joined the military

2020-11-07 05:47:39 UTC

> @( ಠ ͜ʖರೃ) I don't think we should have went to war. With machinery being invented, slavery was already economically infeasible
@newt-gecko-goat It was necessary to re-join the nation, and prove that true freedom could prevail

2020-11-07 05:47:48 UTC

If it wasnt for this , they wouldn't be in America
Which is weird to think about

2020-11-07 05:47:59 UTC

i'm as far left as it gets, and I still support Trump 2020

2020-11-07 05:48:14 UTC

The true freedom of "if you don't want to be a part of our country we are going to drag you back with a brutal war"

2020-11-07 05:48:34 UTC

@AMERICANFREEDOM [CEO OF FREEDOM] they would have lost everything to cheaper farming methods. But they should have worked it out. I honestly hope I never have to kill an American, even if they have horrible difference of opinions

2020-11-07 05:49:08 UTC

These arnt Americans anymore

2020-11-07 05:49:23 UTC

They gave up that title when they started burning our flags

2020-11-07 05:49:31 UTC

I mean the south kinda had it in their name, confederate states of america

2020-11-07 05:49:42 UTC

wow really, yes lets keep slavery, slavery good yay go work the cotten fields!!!!! stop when i say so!!!

wow is see what you mean goob, thats so much more free

2020-11-07 05:49:44 UTC

> These arnt Americans anymore
@KingZapapple they still are according to the constitution which makes our country what it is

2020-11-07 05:50:06 UTC

for the owners not the slaves that is

2020-11-07 05:50:20 UTC

They would burn our constitution if they got their hands on it

2020-11-07 05:50:25 UTC

Slaveholders were literally like .01% of the population

2020-11-07 05:50:41 UTC

And the union literally had slave states

2020-11-07 05:50:51 UTC

True

2020-11-07 05:51:13 UTC

Plus lincoln said he woulda won the war with or without freeing slaves

2020-11-07 05:51:18 UTC

Man taken out of context the left would try and murder me rn

2020-11-07 05:51:32 UTC

> The true freedom of "if you don't want to be a part of our country we are going to drag you back with a brutal war"
@Mcgoober I can tell that we have differing opinions of this, and neither of us will change our minds. I agree that the war was bloody, and unjust. Yet it was necessary. The Civil war was a dark place in our history, the darkest of all. Yet it happened, and all we can do it see it for the good it produced. I believe that our nation could not be the beacon of freedom it is today without the sacrufices of the civil war.

2020-11-07 05:51:37 UTC

@AMERICANFREEDOM [CEO OF FREEDOM] I don't like slavery. But the way they let people free with nothing was actually worse than them staying in the plantations until they could get something together

2020-11-07 05:51:59 UTC

Also the north thought the war was gonna be over in a few weeks and the emancipation proclamation was only given like 3 years into it<:KEK:726877368601411624>

2020-11-07 05:53:04 UTC

And after the war the union pretty much refused to offer any kind of actual support for freedmen so many confederate officers started schools for them<:KEK:726877368601411624>

2020-11-07 05:53:07 UTC

Wait isnt what happend in Civil war 1 just repeating it self but roles flipped?

2020-11-07 05:53:18 UTC

Setting a slave free is kinda like setting an inmate free. They don't know what to do in the real world. No marketable skills. No safety net. No hope for most

2020-11-07 05:53:38 UTC

The north literally just came, said "ur free now have fun" and left

2020-11-07 05:53:49 UTC

@newt-gecko-goat Like setting a liberal free after watching candice owens or larry elder

2020-11-07 05:53:53 UTC

@Mcgoober so keeping slavery around was better?

2020-11-07 05:53:57 UTC

Uh no

2020-11-07 05:53:58 UTC

Tru but that was a few centrys ago so all consequences are neglatable

2020-11-07 05:54:14 UTC

It's literally one of the worst crimes a human can commit

2020-11-07 05:54:15 UTC

alright....... so then its good slavery was ended, yes, which means it was good the confederates lost

2020-11-07 05:54:30 UTC

But that's not how that works

2020-11-07 05:54:34 UTC

> Wait isnt what happend in Civil war 1 just repeating it self but roles flipped?
@KingZapapple kinda. Only 1% of the south owned slaves. The common people were actually fighting for the political values of the wealthiest
