but hey, if done right and used for fun it's okay
I mean make fun of everyone right?
But my thing is if they don't do anything racist, why are we judging a book by it's cover?
> What argument should I make
@Emerald if the mascot propogates a falsity or stereotype (such as casinos, drinking, or otherwise disrespecting their dignity) of the Native American people then by all means it needs to be removed. If it otherwise simply utilizes some aspect about them or their cutlure (such as the warrior mentality or traditional headdress) then it is not offensive and therefore should not be taken down
like how does removing a culture from media help?
It doesn't. The Land O Lakes native American lady wasn't racist but they got rid of her, now there's one less example of representation in every day life.
it doesnt, its like removing afircan americans enslaving others in history books, it pushes a narrative or idea of what history is believed to be rather then what actually happeeed
they want a big bad wolf
not just leaving things as "humans are all scummy"
petition to privatize public school education down to the local state level without federal influence beyond credit hour audits and make it a completely independent process
they need the cute little pigs and a big bad wolf in media
and they won't mention how destructive the pigs are to the other animals
just mention how the big bad wolf eats them
even though we humans like bacon and porkchops
history should not be dramatised of good vs bad
it should be history
Exactly
Yup
like stop judging people for being products of their time, I'm sure something I do now would be considered taboo in the future
How many native American activists are actually Indian
Yeah
the ones who want television to be all buttons and rainbows
because how dare a child know about death
or other topics
Hey folks
Disney has had very gruesome deaths for villains
Clayton was hung, Ursula was impaled, Scar was torn to bits.
The Indian mascot actually offend Indians
Can someone look that up for me
What if the Indians control those mascots would that be ok?
I never noticed claytons death as a kid
And who makes it a political issue?
~~TOTALLY NOT BLM~~
xD
I only noticed Clayton's death when I got older
shouldn't All Lives Matter be better as its more inclusive which is a common leftist talking point?
when people tell me that certain foods or themes are traditionally mexican, hawaiian, ECT I'm like "I know that, I just like how it tastes or looks"
they get offended because all lives matter is ''deriving'' from black lives matter
Black lives matter is about how white lives don't. Its in their rhetoric.
I’m gonna get 3 corgis
