Honestly, anyone can do wrong. The world goes to war for different reasons. If we went to war for nuclear weapons so we don’t get nuked, would you not want the nuclear weapons and some other country be able to nuke you? Religion causes things but other things cause stuff as well. (I’m not meaning to attack anyone, just my POV)
