The majority couldn't even afford slaves if they wanted
But the confederate flag is more commonly associated with slavery right?
im here to eat cheese and kick liberal buns but im all of liberal yesterday
Infact the other 90% did not like it. Most hated it. They fought because the union created political unbalance and then they seceded but the union try to force them back in. So basically they can't have there say with unbalance like that. So they fought back to live freely
So you support the confederacy
?
I mean I know that question is blanket and it’s really a much deeper issue
Yes but not the slave owners.
But under the confederacy slave owners would still be allowed
I dont support the confederacy or the union really but i acknowledge their reasons for secession.
Well slavery was becoming more unpopular fast. And eventually they wouldn't have a use for it therefore dropping it as a whole
Maybe
It’s up to you, but I guess many just see it as a sign of supporting slavery
Not saying that it is or you do
what rights did the union ignore?
Well i see it as more of a gadsden flag. Aka the dont tread on me flag.
Which is better federalism or anti federalism??
spotify is playing random shit rn
Damn. Good question.
federalism as long as it’s traditional
what
the
fuck
Compared with the realities back then of the slaves, it was better for them to come with us stateside rather than be killed, castrated and used as sex slaves in the arab slave markets. Choosing the lesser of two evils i guess.
Hello
We’re talking about the confederacy? I’m in history rn
Which id be fine with if the south succeeded.
I just finished the civil war
The democratic South
Oh boy. School.
i would say it's 2:30am, but you're probably european
So what’s up you support yhe confederacy?
The*
Ew
Ok I've gotta go to bed I'll talk to you guys tomorrow.
I wouldn’t personally associate myself with the confederacy or the confederate flag just because of slavery, tho I have learned a lot about people like General Lee, who was a strong Christian and a great man, but I wouldn’t ever support the confederacy
@Devildog1775 it’s a shame that many today see that flag as only slavery
Also yes
You’re European?
i don’t think lee was a “strong christian” if he ever supported slavery
