They be like *ight g I'm finna loot a store*
Doesn’t counting the popular vote give the Dems more time to bribe electors?
BLM does not care about the people who die
Most of the people who get killed by cops are criminals, and I bet the organizers are happy when they hear another story or see a video because they can whip up outrage about it
Sick sick people
I've gotten alot of heat from friends that ive told i don't support BLM
Just ignore them
I don't think i need to be a part of a movement or charity to know people's lives matter
Why are they upset with you specifically
What arguments do they give for why you should support it
if they put that after friendship, they arent rly friends
Just because i don't support BLM. They just spout off about how it makes me anti-blm and such even tho ive given my reasons as to why i don't support.
Hit them with the facts
About 1k people get killed by police in America on a yearly basis
@SnowMouse just show them clips of peaceful protesting
and how theyre just jews
In the vast majority of those cases, the police officer was in imminent danger
Take Jacob Blake for example
I can’t wait for them to defend a criminal
And you have a 50% better chance of winning a 1 million dollar lottery jackpot than getting killed by police in America
@Joe Cool they were all criminals tbf lmao
unsurprisingly
BLM likes to do this thing where they talk about race relations in general, or globalize the argument, but you have to keep them on the subject of police brutality specifically. They don’t have the facts to back up their claims and that is how you win the discussion and make them look downright stupid
Narrow discussions, objective facts
I don't think they'll listen. Literally one day they was defending the protests by saying they're wearing masks so they're fine, but in tbe very next text they said masks aren't really effective when i asked them about all the canceling Thanksgiving stuff after i said what if families wear masks
They don’t want to engage in civil discourse because they’re thinking emotionally
That’s one of the 3 great untruths
Emotional reasoning holds up very poorly in civil discourse
And the mask thing should have nothing to do with the protests being safe or not. Even if you wear one it’s not smart to go to a large gathering like that, it’s a high level of risk compared to things like thanksgiving
They probably know very little about the science and thus will seize on any surface argument that makes their other arguments look good rather than seeing the whole picture
Speaking of wearing a mask, it’s actually disgusting to see a stereotype where all the conservatives don’t wear a mask
I do
Doesn’t that make us look stupid when in reality, we actually aren’t?
There’s some conservatives who don’t believe this thing is real and don’t follow guidelines
Makes the rest of them look bad
It is their decision, so if they get covid, then it’s their fault.
I understand not trusting the media or the government in general but at some point there needs to be some common sense
But the majority of us wear a mask and follow guidelines so everyone has standards
Most people
The incidents where people don’t are highly publicized
