2020-12-30 16:27:47 UTC

2020-12-30 16:28:08 UTC

I too have multiple voices in my head

2020-12-30 16:28:16 UTC

<:SnugPepe:781198443808686110>

2020-12-30 16:28:36 UTC

The army don't know about it though luckily they didn't check my medical records

2020-12-30 16:29:01 UTC

Yep <:troll_face:726878856585281557>

2020-12-30 16:29:02 UTC

do the voices have personality?

2020-12-30 16:29:22 UTC

I knew someone once that actually went to a psychiatrist thinking they were crazy because they had basically that inner monologue that everyone has and they were too dense to realize.

2020-12-30 16:29:32 UTC

Actually yes

2020-12-30 16:30:22 UTC

Alcohol + marine + jeep = sonehow get alcohol banned from a military base, lol

2020-12-30 16:30:28 UTC

Someone else hacked into your brain 😠

2020-12-30 16:30:44 UTC

If I remember right the doctor told them something along the lines of "those are thoughts. That's normal. If you stop having them, come see me."

2020-12-30 16:31:22 UTC

A wise person once said "everybody is a bit crazy. some is better at hiding it than others"

also, a fun thought: but "crazy" people are crazy because their brain can't filter down the noises info and are processing too much info at once

2020-12-30 16:31:38 UTC

Isn't that basically the definition for autism?

2020-12-30 16:31:47 UTC

that's cool. do you know their backstory?

2020-12-30 16:31:52 UTC

The sensory overload I mean

2020-12-30 16:32:30 UTC

"There was never a genius without a tincture of madness." Aristotle. Always liked that quote.

2020-12-30 16:32:41 UTC

yeah. but i guess in a way it is also applicable to other mental health disorders, too

2020-12-30 16:33:32 UTC

can people stop having thoughts? i've always heard the saying the guys can just zone out and literally think of nothing at all lol

2020-12-30 16:33:55 UTC

Yea I've had it for a decade

2020-12-30 16:34:08 UTC

@isoboto I can zone out and not think of anything

2020-12-30 16:34:15 UTC

You can if you meditate. As far zoning out, I can only speak for myself but it's something I've always been able to do

2020-12-30 16:34:16 UTC

All childhood traumas led to a split in my psyce

2020-12-30 16:34:59 UTC

But it works for the better now after all these years

2020-12-30 16:35:20 UTC

i try meditation and it never success for me 😂 maybe my method is wrong, but i keep thinking about not thinking

2020-12-30 16:35:51 UTC

Depends on the reason for the thoughts

2020-12-30 16:36:02 UTC

that's good. so you temper the voices, or you have better control over the voices?

2020-12-30 16:36:21 UTC

Don't think about not thinking. Just don't think. I realize that probably isn't helpful, but that's the only technique I know lol

2020-12-30 16:36:30 UTC

lucky trait 😔

2020-12-30 16:36:43 UTC

Better control I suppose, though years of therapy I've learned to coexsist with them and make harmony

2020-12-30 16:37:00 UTC

Their more like a family I have all the time now

2020-12-30 16:37:23 UTC

i tried putting on those weird acoustic music to see if it helps <:KEK:726877368601411624>

2020-12-30 16:37:38 UTC

Not gonna lie, I have this mental image of you randomly singing like a high C and someone asking what you're doing and you just saying you're harmonizing with the voices in your head.

2020-12-30 16:38:03 UTC

that's good, man. it's great that you reached a point of content in your personal life

2020-12-30 16:38:10 UTC

I've ..actually tried that a few times

2020-12-30 16:38:35 UTC

I zone out at work or just start talking to myself to keep from having to listen to the other guy

2020-12-30 16:39:55 UTC

I killed chat

2020-12-30 16:40:40 UTC
