We all need some self reflection. But the politicians have already used it as a way to pump themselves up instead of reflecting on why their constituents would feel that way. How tone deaf they are

People did complain. Do you act like people just shrugged and went on with their lives during the revolution and the civil war? It was a deeply emotional time and considered a black mark on our nations history that we had to do the things that we did. There’s pride and joy, but it’s tinged with sadness.
