New pet peeve - when people say that supporting BLM is just "basic compassion" and is "to be expected" of decent people

Like I just witnessed someone say that putting their names on a sign on the front lawn is "common sense"

And to be honest half of the people that get shot by cops deserve it

Jacob Blake - dude was being arrested for violating a restraining order and threatening his ex. He had been tased at least once and wasn't backing down and was literally going to his car to get a weapon

Thing is, my pastor explained some things in why these things happen -

1) Tasers don't always work, especially up close. The needles need to be far apart for it to work.

2) Cops are told to use the next level of force - they aren't supposed to meet with equal force; that would make the situation fair for the criminal. Even then, cops STILL get overpowered; imagine if they all used equal force

Cops should have blow darts instead of tasers, blowdarts are more effective

Also, I learned this from the internet - sometimes tasers don't work if the person being tased has a superhumanly high pain tolerance or is on drugs
