which is speed and pricing

2017-12-15 02:41:58 UTC

2015 it was implemented, if it was fine without before, it will more than likely be fine without again

2017-12-15 02:42:02 UTC

yes

2017-12-15 02:42:10 UTC

there are still violators of NN

2017-12-15 02:42:16 UTC

Like TMo

2017-12-15 02:42:43 UTC

started charging 10 dollars extra /mo for hd video on their Tmobile One plan (Unlimited)

2017-12-15 02:43:22 UTC

and centurylink has a pricing and marketing campaign WHICH SANK HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS OF DOLLARS saying price lock guarantee and they predicted the future according to doomsday redditors, they have a competitive advantage if they keep this campaign

2017-12-15 02:44:01 UTC

anyone who makes the move, empowers CL, why would a company commit economic-marketshare suicide

2017-12-15 02:44:26 UTC

It worries me that the normies that are all over NN don't understand what it is

2017-12-15 02:44:42 UTC

I talked with dozens of kids today about it

2017-12-15 02:44:42 UTC

they are fucking hysterical airheads who lack critical thinking capacity

2017-12-15 02:44:52 UTC

they were like muh pay for pornhub muh pay for instagram

2017-12-15 02:44:56 UTC

AND I THINK THE SAME OF CERTAIN DISCORD USERS <:tipsfedora:383326576609329162>

2017-12-15 02:45:08 UTC

Every term the FCC will change its opinion

2017-12-15 02:45:17 UTC

and even with Wheeler they didnt do shit

2017-12-15 02:45:23 UTC

things like this makes me hate the average man

2017-12-15 02:45:56 UTC

"we have NN yaaaay lets lounge around for a few years instead of using the new legal power to do anything"

2017-12-15 02:46:00 UTC

fucking cunts

2017-12-15 02:51:12 UTC

will the big tech cos be forced to foot the bill

2017-12-15 02:51:26 UTC

or will they defer it to their users

2017-12-15 02:51:38 UTC

YouTube operates at a loss so does it matter

2017-12-15 02:52:22 UTC

Netflix is obviously going to be $20/mo in 2 years because of all the money they are spending on TV and movies

2017-12-15 03:34:54 UTC

Good boy, stopping those giant leggy things.

2017-12-15 03:36:19 UTC

@Matthew i think the former thing you said is more likely

2017-12-15 03:36:40 UTC

normies will just cancel their service and use their phone exclusively instead

2017-12-15 03:36:47 UTC

since there won't be a point to paying for both anymore

2017-12-15 03:37:08 UTC

ISPs know this, so they'll probably keep the fuckery to businesses competing with their cable service

2017-12-15 03:37:14 UTC

just like they did before NN

2017-12-15 03:37:43 UTC

remember: people like us who use the internet at their desktop/laptop all day and night, we're a tiny minority

2017-12-15 03:37:48 UTC

eh people stream alot of netflix etc now

2017-12-15 03:38:53 UTC

I think phone providers would start pushing mobile hotspot features harder to account for that

2017-12-15 03:39:22 UTC

easy way to tack $10/mo or whatever extra on and sell to the consumer as cheaper than copper or fiber isp

2017-12-15 03:40:07 UTC

i don't think so, my phone provider charged for tethering all through NN's existence

2017-12-15 03:40:18 UTC

was only $5/mo so whatever

2017-12-15 03:40:50 UTC

now they have BYOD finally, so i should probs cut that off my plan and just, yknow

2017-12-15 03:40:58 UTC

build something with a second nic and bridge it

2017-12-15 03:42:11 UTC

there's even raspberry pi hats for doing exactly that, ezpz

2017-12-15 03:47:08 UTC

@Wes no, pretty much exclusively either an under the table effort for those with access to larger servers or people with enough money to make a large farm.

2017-12-15 03:47:11 UTC

@i○bas what's some good books to educate myself?

2017-12-15 03:52:26 UTC

@johnfrum Yeah I've been checking the profibility recently, because bitcoin has gone up a ton, mining profits have went to around 25% - 30% of what they were 1-2 months ago, so not worth it atm

2017-12-15 03:53:21 UTC

But a couple months ago you could pull in a cool $25 - $30 profit per day for minimal work
